Man, I don’t know whether to laugh or be sad for these 2, the rumors that they could have easily joined the JP branch but picked EN instead because it had “less issues” to them and now they are stuck in this shit show and will probably get shipped to JP if the EN Branch dies.

I heard those rumors too, but the version I heard was that the sole “issue” was that they’d have to go through VTA before joining Nijisanji proper, while joining Nijisanji EN would let them skip that step and jump right into prime time.

When you spent too much time online on an echochamber, you ended up making batshit crazy theories and rumors instead of looking what actually happening in real world
I honestly feel sorry for these two, I mean it isn’t good for anybody in Niji but these two had some really bad luck. They seem like really nice girls to. I know Kotoka got some trouble from her statement about Zaion, which I’m putting down to ESL/not knowing what to say, but she still talks about her positively.
My condolences. But I think VTA is probably more toxic and have even less prospect to the future. So… It was the correct choice.

To be fair, them joining in EN gave them exposure to a much wider audience and gave them some sort of “special position” when they began interacting with JP livers. If they had joined JP directly they would probably still be at the 100~200k stage and have been buried in the spam of JP livers.
I do remember one saying that they passed all the steps. But Nijisanji told them there are no places in the JP branch but we do have openings in our EN branch. Which is why their are JP talent in EN. I could be wrong but I do remember one of them saying that.

Not exactly true. In 2022 Niji openly stated that JP hires were frozen, and then VTA got shut down and reorganized. Meloco herself stated that the reason she applied for EN was that JP was going to be a multi-year process at best. She’s pretty talented, and seems to have much less of the “mean girl” stuff going on than Kotoka showed during the Zaion drama.
Honestly they just made the right choice over going through VTA thats a while ‘nother garbage fire
