A Glamping Hotel with a View of Mt. Fuji! How to Get There & Useful Tips! Hi! I’m Akanemaru, born and raised in Japan. This video is about a glamping hotel. It has a fantastic view and an amazing bath.

We’ll introduce an easy way to get there and tips on how to stay there affordably, so please watch until the end! Now, let’s get started! This time, we’ll introduce VISION GLAMPING Resort & Spa Yamanakako. It’s a glamping hotel that opened in December 2022. It’s located near Lake Yamanakako.

Lake Yamanakako is the highest in elevation  among the lakes in this area and is closest to Mt. Fuji, offering a beautiful view. You can enjoy this view from all the rooms in the hotel where we’ll be staying this time.

We’ll introduce the easy way to get there and the accommodation fees later. Once checked in at the reception, let’s head to the room for our stay. This hotel offers 2 types of rooms with different sizes, but this time we’ve chosen a room that can accommodate up to 6 people.

The rooms are separated by walls as tall as a person, allowing you to enjoy a private space without meeting other guests. Now, let’s go inside the dome-shaped tent. There are beds, sofas, and a table, making it a luxurious room that doesn’t feel like inside the tent.

You can even see Mt. Fuji from inside the room. Also, you can use sandals and cold-weather shoes for free. It’s possible to order amenities, additional meals, and more by scanning the QR code with your smartphone. You can borrow loungewear for free.

Additionally, you can borrow a down coat from Workman, a popular Japanese fashion brand, for free. Next, let’s check out the restroom and bathroom. The toilet has a bidet seat and there is a small sink. The dressing room is spacious with 2 sinks.

There is a variety of amenities such as skin toner and milky lotion, and the latest hair dryer is also available. By the way, all rooms, including the dressing room, restroom, and kitchen, are equipped with heaters, so you can stay comfortably even in the cold winter. Now, let’s check out the shower room.

It’s spacious with 2 showers. There is a bath at the back of the shower room. There are 2 baths, one for hot water and one for cold water, and they are so spacious that it doesn’t feel like a private bath.

By the way, the water in this open-air bath is artificial hot spring. It makes the skin feel moist and smooth. It’s great to take a bath while looking at the blue sky! There is a movable shade, so don’t worry even if it’s raining.  The highly recommended facility is this tent sauna.

The inside is spacious, and it can accommodate about 4 people.  It’s recommended to rent a sauna hat and sauna poncho.  The sauna poncho has a rental fee, but if you want to take pictures, be sure to rent it.  You can refresh yourself by taking a cold bath after sweating.

It’s luxurious to be able to experience  this private space just for yourself!  Next up, we’ll introduce a space where you can have a bonfire.  You can enjoy the best view with Mt. Fuji right in front of you.  The first set of firewood is free, but there is a charge starting from the second set.

You can spend a relaxing time just watching the bonfire.  We recommend having a bonfire twice, because the atmosphere changes between morning and night.  Now, we’ll introduce some items to make your bonfire experience more enjoyable.  Let’s start with marshmallows.

Roasting them over the bonfire makes them crispy on the outside, melt on the inside, and delicious. Next, let’s make baked sweet potatoes. They are already cooked, making them easy to prepare. It has a sweetness like desserts. This is a photogenic item that changes the color of the flames of the bonfire.

It changes into rainbow colors like blue and green, making it even more beautiful. There is a charge for these, but it’s recommended to add them to enhance the enjoyment of the bonfire. Next, let’s introduce the kitchen and dining room. There is a spacious area with a table, refrigerator, barbecue grill, and more.

It’s equipped with the latest kitchen appliances, making it great for those who love to cook. There is an instruction manual in English available, so don’t worry if you can’t read Japanese. There are 2 refrigerators, but all ice creams and drinks in the black refrigerator come with an additional charge.

All drinks and meals in the silver refrigerator are included in the accommodation fee. There is a variety of drinks available, including beer and tea. When you put a can of beer, there is a machine that automatically pours it into a glass, so give it a try.

The fine bubbles make the beer even more delicious. The hot wine set available exclusively during winter is also popular. After warming it in a pot, it has a mild taste and a pleasant aroma. It’s easy to drink with a subtle sweetness. You can also change the flavor by adding cinnamon or lemon peel.

It warms you up. The ingredients for dinner and breakfast  are stored in the refrigerator, making it easy to cook and enjoy with a simple preparation. Dinner menu offers a wide variety,  and the portions are satisfying. Almost all dishes use ingredients from Yamanashi Prefecture, so you can enjoy the local flavors.

The assorted prosciutto and hot wine are a perfect combination. Pork pâté, with just the right amount of fat and saltiness,  is recommended to be enjoyed on a baguette.  You can enjoy local vegetables even more with a Bagna cauda sauce that has the aroma of garlic.

Before eating, let’s add grated cheese to the Minestrone, which is filled with plenty of vegetables.  The mild tartness of tomatoes goes well with cheese.  Let’s grill seafood and meat on the barbecue grill.  Trout raised by eating grape skins has a sweet taste and just the right amount of fat.

Next, let’s cook the scallops by topping them with butter.  It has a plump texture and it’s delicious. Chicken has a juicy and moderate texture. Yamanashi prefecture’s pork has a sweet flavor in the fat. The beef raised by eating grape skins is tender and the aftertaste is refreshing. This is Bolognese with Rigatoni.

It’s cooked using a skillet, giving it a crispy texture. The top recommendation is the Koshu beef sirloin steak. This is Wagyu produced in Yamanashi Prefecture, and only beef ranked A4 and A5 can be labeled as Koshu beef. There is an additional charge, but it’s a rare Wagyu, so it’s worth trying.

Once you put it in your mouth, it melts right away!  It has marbling, but the aftertaste is refreshing.  We enjoyed various dishes, and it was a very satisfying dinner.  Next, we’ll introduce how to enjoy the morning. The coffee brewed with the coffee maker from the popular Japanese electronics manufacturer,

BALMUDA, has a pleasant aroma and allows you to enjoy an authentic taste similar to what a barista would brew.  Breakfast ingredients are also prepared in the refrigerator, making it easy to cook.  Let’s make a smoothie by putting frozen vegetables and fruits in a blender.  Adding honey, lemon, and orange juice enhances the flavor.

Pour the smoothie into a glass with yogurt, and it’s ready.  It’s recommended to enjoy the salad with truffle dressing.  There is also corn soup. You can make your own favorite grilled sandwich by placing ingredients like ham or sausage on the sandwich toaster.

The ingredients are already cut, so it’s easy to prepare, and it’s fun to make yourself! It’s wonderful to enjoy luxurious dishes in the morning! Not only can you enjoy a close-up view of Mt. Fuji, but the facilities and services are also excellent, making it our recommended hotel.

Next, we’ll introduce how to get there and how to make reservations. You can take the bus or train, but the bus is more convenient and affordable. If you’re coming from Tokyo to this hotel, the easiest way is to go from Shinjuku Station.

Outside the New South Gate of Shinjuku Station, there is a bus terminal where direct buses to Lake Yamanakako depart. You can buy a ticket at the counter or ticket machine on the day you take the bus, but it’s better to purchase it in advance because it might sell out.

If you’re buying bus tickets online,  “highwaybus.com” is recommended. First, choose Tokyo as the departure point and Yamanashi as the destination. Next, select the Shinjuku-Fujigoko Line. The fare is 2,600 yen one way. Once you’ve chosen Shinjuku Bus Terminal as your departure point, select Yamanakako Asahigaoka as your destination.

For your information, the actual bus stop to get off at is ‘Fujisan Yamanakako Hotel Mount-Fuji Iriguchi,’ but it’s not selectable on English websites. Therefore, you’ll need to select the closest one, ‘Yamanakako Asahigaoka,’ from there. The fares from Shinjuku are the same for both. Next, select the date and time, and the number of people.

Choose your preferred seat and select either round trip or one way.  Enter your name and phone number. Payment will be processed in advance using a credit card. By the way, it’s recommended to choose a mobile ticket for ticket types.

Web tickets need to be printed and brought along, but mobile tickets don’t require that. When the payment is completed, you will receive an email, and clicking on the link will display the mobile ticket.  You need to show this screen to get on the bus.

It takes about 2 hours and 20 minutes to get to the destination. As we mentioned earlier, the actual bus stop to get off is Fujisan Yamanakako Hotel Mount-Fuji Iriguchi.  It’s 3 stops before the one you selected during the reservation, Yamanakako Asahigaoka, so please keep that in mind.

When you hear the arrival announcement, please press the button above your head. This bus stop is the closest to the hotel.  When heading back to Tokyo, please take the bus from the bus stop across the road.  Right in front of the bus stop, you’ll find Lake Yamanakako.

A shuttle car will pick you up at the 7-Eleven, which is located about a minute’s walk from the bus stop. It takes about 5 minutes to the hotel.  The shuttle car schedule is fixed,  so please specify your preferred time during the reservation.

Please note that after check-out, there is only one shuttle car at 10:15. When you head to the hotel, taking the bus departing from Shinjuku between 1 PM and 3 PM allows you to arrive at the perfect timing for the shuttle service and check-in.

For the return, it’s better to book a bus between 11 AM and 12 PM to give yourself extra time. They can pick you up not only from the bus stop but also from Mt. Fuji Station.

If you’re coming from Fuji-Q Highland or Lake Kawaguchiko, it’s convenient to be picked up at Mt. Fuji Station.  Please make sure to specify whether you want to be picked up at the bus stop or the station when making the reservation.

The hotel’s official website provides information about shuttle services, so check it out. If two people stay in one room, the hotel accommodation fee starts at 40,700 yen per person.  The cost per person is lower if there are more people.  When making a reservation, it’s recommended to book through the hotel’s official website

Rather than online travel agencies, as you can reserve the lowest prices.  Depending on the season, there are campaigns  where you can stay 10% to 20% cheaper.  If you have any questions, you can also message the hotel.  At this hotel, you can have extraordinary experiences,  so you’re sure to have a wonderful time.

Enjoy glamping with the fantastic view!  Well, that’s all for today. See you in the next video! Bye bye!
