Uh yeah I’m just I’m just like really bored I’m fidgety I have not been out for apart from taking Bella for a walk I haven’t been out for quite some time uh I I haven’t even been spending money I’ve been eating whatever’s in the fridge which isn’t much now now well
There is there’s lots of food there but it’s very boring food and what’s in the cupboard and and and and and and and I don’t want to go out cuz if I if I go out I’m going to spend money Russell’s here as well it looks washed uh it looks
Washed out it makes me look like an alien nevertheless I I did that when I did that video when I was sick that’s the way it is I ain’t changing it bad luck to you all so I mean the stream can only go up from there can’t it awful

Were only to on the plane interesting three incidents now happened in Japan with a plane as you might know luckily the incidents have been getting uh less extreme the first one you all saw saw uh in Tokyo where the plane uh exploded on the runway
Uh which was very bad uh the second one no injuries and it was a plane was being towed in saporo and the tow truck slipped in the snow and one of the planes hit the other plane and did damage to both planes yesterday as Ray was telling us a Japan Airways plane a
Jail I think it was a jail plane or an Ana plane sorry an Ana plane uh was flying an American Tourist decided to bite the flight Hostess so it had to turn around and go back to Tokyo and land what what would what would put anything in anybody’s
Brain uh to bite anyone let alone a flight Hostess uh like what I mean can you think of anything whatsoever that would warrant that on a plane like is there anything a flight Hostess would do that would make you that angry the answer is no I’m I’m afraid to
Say the answer is no so um it’s just yeah it’s just like inexcusable I suppose but um what can we say it’s so hot and muggy here I feel like sticking my head in the freezer well you’re going to be sticking your head in the freezer very very very very
Soon and uh yes uh it’s going to be quite exciting um I’ve done all the AI scripts for the videos I’m going to make over there so uh I don’t know how the AI scripts are going to go I don’t know how the video is going to go but we will

Underground cities uh Street in saporo um that you could spend well weeks down there getting lost and exploring it so this is just going to be one way not the most exciting way uh you could say but uh wanted to show Russell anyway the underground foot Paths of seora to give
You an idea of uh what they’re like the reason uh I didn’t actually join this underground walkway at the beginning of it it goes further out into the BBS um because I was going to walk above ground but it was scolding hot so that’s why we went underground you you’ll see what I
Mean when we watch the video anyway goes for about 40 minutes and we’ll come back and have a chat as I say the beginning of it it’s a bit dodgy with the audio and uh I was trying to talk to some Indian lady and be friendly but I don’t

This action two kind of system oh maybe the action four N I like the action two I got to say got super bear over there you see super bear we’re not going over there but there’s super bear I don’t know if his name’s super bear but we’ll we’ll pretend it is So what’s the good and the bad of uh saporo in summer now that I’ve been here summer and winter you know I adore the winter the summer is uh really good because there is zero tourists and when I say zero tourists I mean zero tourists uh they’re only ever
Here for the snow f festival and um and yeah so because of it it’s good there’s no tourists it’s uh it’s clean it looks completely different in these summer months uh not in a bad way it looks it looks spectacular the only downfall I guess with Soro in the summer
Just like everywhere in Japan is the the the heat is a bit of a pain in the ass certainly in the evening in Toro it is really nice okay uh it is cooler than like Tokyo at least there’s a bit of air going on you can get stuff
To help you with the heat there’s these neck things going on these neck ice rings I don’t think you got to put them in the freezer I don’t think so maybe you do donkey 8 got heaps of uh shirts going on there tourist shirt my tourist shirt is is my YouTube
Channel I don’t need to uh show people on a t-shirt that I’ve been to Japan because you’ve seen it down there is our more shopping arcade in the river this is a bit we love to avoid the Heat and not just to avoid the heat in
The in the uh winter to get warm as well they have this underground section which we’ve shown on the channel before this is pole Town there’s about four or five different underground streets to go for kilometers you could spend all day under here and uh and never be
Bored get you out of the heat goes all the way down to the train station so if the heat does bother you just go down go down to pool town thank you thank you and uh be you go this is po town as far
As the I can see the uh the shops go down that way as far as the eye can see the shops go down this way uh beautiful tiles on the floor here of uh the history of B Baskin Robins if you want to ice cream smells so sweet
And lovely under here because you have uh lots of food you got the haido famous haido Tarts going on just over here yummy yummy yummy now I’ve had these in Melbourne they’re not the same cuz see it’s not hako uh milk in in Melbourne or if it is that froze it or
Something to uh to get it there so it’s not the same here is uh just spectacular the ice cream as well 430 Yen for an ice cream they’re the uh they the Tarts thereor Tarts every shop you can imagine from women’s fashion to mobile phone stuff a cell
Phone why do Americans call a cell phone do tell me don’t tell CU got a chip in it and and it’s it’s a cell no that’s silly do m don’t give me excuses are these mens are these men’s or women’s I don’t know I like them maybe they maybe they’re women’s I
Like them though I like pink as a color does that does that uh does that say something about me I don’t know but I I like pink leave me alone pink is good you know pink used to be a man’s color when it was first used in fashion we only decided later

Cantaloup over there a rockmelon that’s what saporo is known for the rock melon take a picture of uh that for my mom she loves the bronze I always get a juice from here the juices are just extraordinary uh they got a special price pineapple at the moment
296 uh for a small or 40 for a large then there have the watermelon 390 296 what have I got here I’m I’m going to get a pineapple oh the watermelon smells so good though oh my God tough decision uh they got the peach looks like a looks like a smoothie
But I think it’s with ice pineapple and uh and Ice oh my God the watermelon dust smell extraordinary though foree 448 for the large let’s get a large This camera down just a little bit come down there there we go that might be a bit better fruit is a natural supplement over here I want my pineapple I want my pineapple if you can’t speak Japanese there’s a few different pineapple drinks just take a picture show them a picture

Have the great bit at the top no I’ve worded that wrong they have the great bit at the top they have the extraordinary bit down the bottom maybe it’s because your taste PDS are starting to open up to the floor and go oh my God it’s extraordinary as mentioned these
Walkways they go completely under seoro as far as the are can see in every direction accessible to uh all the trains and that as well tourist information Maps I think it’s on touch screen yes it is it’s touchcreen boom let change where everything is here’s where we are now so the Dory Park
Is directly above us where the saor TV tower is and where the snow Festival is we’re heading towards the uh the train renew renew okay another shopping mall over here and then when you go to that shopping mall as well there will be malls going either direction direction
As well so it is like a city in a city in in a city in a city but when I going down that way’re going train station you want to stay down there subscribe to the channel I promise we’ll go there in February plenty of restaurants food down here
Everything from McDonald’s to cafes to whatever you could imagine nice and wide now cuz we’re heading towards the train station these numbers you’re going to see all the way along the way they’re not like for train platforms or anything they’re they’re exits which relate to the tourist Maps which tell
You you know where to go and where to go out and what to see I don’t think I explained that very well then did I trouble with that have trouble explaining things down again you look at the tourist map and it says if you’re in the underground
Walkway and you want to go to that tourist attraction or that place in the city go to Exit 11 and it will take you there typ thing that’s what I was trying to say but if you’re just wondering and you don’t know what is at number 11 or
Number 12 then what they have here there other maps and information of what is around the area so you got the clock tower uh Clock Tower exit number nine uh seoro City town hall 11 to13 uh so yeah a kaid government building to the four and you got a real detail map so
You know it’s pretty oh looks in a 75 6 3 4 2 1 so you know it’s pretty good planned really well whoever they employ in Japan in all these cities to uh organize things just do an exceptional job get austral it’s dogs freaking breakfast they can’t you know the left
Hand doesn’t know what the right hand’s doing where here it’s all easy lot of QR codes in Japan as well use the QR code you’ll be given endless amounts of information is of Soro okay interesting so down here as well I’ve just noticed this never noticed it before you have uh a historical

America and I think that’s the case because in Australia England and America we are obsessed with us me me me me me me me and material possessions and you know you you don’t care about anyone else you want to actually be drama in front of other people so they pay attention to
You me me me me me me me where it’s the other way around they’re not into material possessions um they’re not into proving themselves to anybody they’re just uh happy to you know have a nice life and get out and about they’re not stuck on social media um very
Socialable they like to blend in with one another you don’t see any uh real many Japanese here with their little photographs of Instagram with their puffed up silicon lips going look at me it’s very real very really in Japan look at the pretty Tad look at the pretty pretty

Tourists that I’m not in the same category as them as tourist cuz uh tourist can only get the tourist weer card at the moment but I have the original swier card so nobody’s most probably noticed but if they did they would go H this man might live here he has a normaler
So we don’t know what that noise is uh we’re predicting that it actually doesn’t mean anything it’s just a noise to keep you cool and calm and uh relaxed cuz uh regardless of what happens it always goes ding dong isn’t that a hoot I thought that was funny uh snow milk

Keep uh rolling on um which I get what you’re getting at Mike in Australia if the temperature hits 21 they go oh it’s too hot the the tracks are warped we can’t run trains if it’s too cold they go oh it’s too wet the trains can’t run
If leaves drop on the line oh there’s leaves the trains can’t run they make every excuse possible and then you go to Japan you go well they don’t make excuses it seems to run for them everything seems to be fine for them so yeah yeah I dare say there are some
Times maybe when there’s cancellations but I think it would have to be really really really ex extreme um thank you very much uh sapora J for that information I never ever could figure out what those noises were for and you know when you said about the birds
Chirping uh with when you said it was like for stairs or escalators or that now when I think about it yeah yeah that noise is only there I wonder how many visually impaired or blind people actually know that I’m guessing Japan te teachers the blind people in
Japan about that really that that was like really really interesting to know uh foreigners need to know about about this sort of information that’s pretty cool cuz see Sam was over there recently he has a disabilities in a wheelchair and I said to Sam there’s not much information about Japan with uh
Disability so that’s interesting uh can you see you have the tennis on the TV and the reflection yes I do it’s tennis season in Australia no matter what channel I turn to it’ll be the tennis but there’s nothing nothing good playing at the moment um and there will be nothing good
On TV here in Australia at Christmas either so rather than sitting at home in your country this coming Christmas and putting up with the Heat and the relatives and the friends you don’t really like why not think about this we’re just stopping the live stream

Anywhere in Toro right she ain’t been to the Clock Tower uh or the TV Tower or the historical city of Hokkaido or the Chocolate Factory uh or or the drn but she’s like been nowhere so it’s going to be a real mind explosion for her and she
Said to me she said to me yesterday she said uh do I need to buy a JR ra pass and the answer is no like there is so much to do in saporo ridiculous amount of things to do in seoro she’s going to be spending her whole trip there first
Time in the snow it’s going to be really interesting to see her reaction and what she thinks about it all hello Michael Rogers how are you Mr Rogers uh that that’s with the noise was yeah I know small catchup happening yes uh so well there’s going to be three english-

Saporo sometime um but you know the the problem is when she goes there as I say it’s going to be great to see her reaction but I know for a fact that it’s going to also cause a problem for future because she will want to go back every
Year during the snow Festival every single year um but yeah we got a big long list of places to go and things to see uh I don’t how much I’ll be live streaming over there but I’ll certainly be taking her around to uh to show her
Uh what’s going on um I I like I I just can’t wait I want to get there um and hopefully my C Pacific plane won’t feare the same punishment as the other Cafe Pacific plane at saporo at the airport the other day H he says but uh yeah it’s going to be great
But we do want you all to come Christmas time uh to saporo um I don’t know how long I’m going to be staying there because I want to do Christmas I want to do New Year and I want to do the snow Festival so uh you know this coming Christmas could be the
Longest trip I’ve ever done to Japan who knows and Russell and I are going to do a challenge this coming Christmas I think we could talk about it now even though we haven’t really planned it fully but we will be planning it fully and uh I always say
That is a lot easier better and just as quick to catch the trains around Japan as what it is the planes and we’re going to have a race I’m I don’t know Russell’s still here I don’t know which way we’re going to go it’s either going
To be saporo to Tokyo or Tokyo Tokyo to saporo I think it’s to toora we’re going to go um and we’re going to have a race him and him and de plan me on the train and uh you know we’re going to start at the same starting point in in the city
Whatever City we start in and and we’re going to end at the same place which is going to basically it’s going to be a hotel we started a hotel because that’s what you do when you’re in holidays isn’t it you’re in a hotel so one of us
Me will go from the hotel to the shin conen then to the local train the semi Express um and he will go from the hotel to the airport fly D then onto a train then to the other Hotel so it’s going to be a a really interesting Challenge and I think
It’s going to surprise a lot of you especially if you still think flying is the way to go in Japan and we’re not making it easy because I’m going you know going to saporo uh you know from uh hakodate to saporo there’s no Shin onen there’s no highspeed train so it’s going
To be interesting did I see what they’re filming at well Hallen yes I knew when I was in Wellen uh what they were filming yeah they they’re filming a Hollywood movie there at the moment yes they are with Liam niss uh yes yes so they’ve been painting
All the buildings wellhall is a country town that we went camping did I show it on the main Channel if not I showed it to the members we took Bella down there we did a ghost tour and bits and pieces and and uh Liam niss is make his latest
Movie there and they’ve had to paint all the buildings down there in the chroma key green you know the green color that you do Cinema magic too um so uh yeah they’re filming down there for a couple of weeks even as we speak the weather’s not being that kind to them down there

You have hope uh you had har life look at your itinerary oh my God super Puffs that that’s very funny I like that uh um yeah see you soon Russell uh my itinerary everyday in Toro is to act like a local when I go to seoro now cuz I go to seoro
Every winter now it’s it’s been the X amount of time I’ve been in Toro now um I live like a local I can never be a local in Japan it’s the only time I can feel like a local so I’ll be there for 3 weeks if you that’s how long I’m going
To be there um and I always get there before the tourists a tourist only arrive on the day the snow Festival starts it’s really weird right up until that particular day there’s no tourists none you wake up the next day bang there’s like so many tourists they
Literally fly in on that particular day so I like to get there at least a week early just to enjoy saporo without the tourists it’s it’s great to enjoy with the tourist but when the tourists aren’t there you can do the tourist hotpots before the tourists arrive you know what
I mean if you want to go up the the Tower or or whatever there’s no tourist so I usually do that then the the couple of weeks when all the tourists are there I avoid all the tourist areas and go do uh something else um this the itinery
Has not been done by har life because if it was uh I would have to uh land in saporo uh and then catch a train to Tokyo uh to do something to go back up to saora that like seriously like his itinerary I like man you know it’s called poking the
Bear right things poke the bear I’m the bear people it pokes the Bear right it like you like you can’t waste your time in Japan and and and you you you can’t get information of people that don’t actually live in Japan like he doesn’t live in Japan he he works in Japan but

Of a lot more tourist including in the non-tourist area so I am I am already knowing that there’s going to be more than per normal uh and the snow Festival is back to full size this year as well but I like I don’t mind certain tourists for example Um there’s certain tourists I don’t like and those certain tourists will certainly not be arriving till day one you know what I’m saying you know what I’m saying uh he didn’t put into account travel time he didn’t he he his itinerary was just ridiculous it like seriously and it does make me angry
Because it’s fine to give wrong information I give wrong information all the time and I don’t know I really don’t know anything about Japan but you can’t charge people for it you can’t charge the firsttime traveler because you you you just can’t because you’re going to ruin their trip you’re
Going to ruin their holiday I saw a woman yesterday and she was carrying on again they’re still carrying on about you know the Jr pass it’s a waste of money no one knows how to use the freaking Jr pass all these ones that do these
Videos a they don’t use them and B if they did they don’t know they don’t know how to use it themselves to get the value for money there’s nothing in Japan apart from Tokyo Sky Tree that I find a ripoff Tokyo Sky Tre is an absolute ripoff but there’s very few
Things there that I find a ripoff things might be expensive sure but they’re expensive for a reason because you get value out of it so the JR Rail Pass even though it’s gone up in price as everything in your country has everything goes up in price it is still
Extraordinary value I’ll keep saying it and I know people do not listen to me but you know if you’re using your Jr pass and getting free accommodation out of it and catching the faeries and doing all this sort of stuff how is it not good value just the the accommodation side
Alone makes that Jr pass good value you know so anyway uh Japan has one of the best train networks in the world I would say it has the best train Network in the world I would say but you know anyway uh so what’s my day today itinerary
Um day one is already set in in concrete super pups already set in concrete it is not going to change and it’s going to entail me Landing in seoro in the afternoon getting to the hotel with my bags dropping my bags off then instantaneously as soon as I’ve dropped
My bags off I’ve got to go back to the train station but I’m not going on the train I’m going into around the corner thank you uh fororo J for telling us where it is to the uh the big camera store to pick up my um my augmented reality glasses that they’re holding
Them for me and then once I pick up my augmented reality glasses I’m going to go and have uh steak for dinner at at at a place in the shopping mall I know exactly where I’m going to go saw a video the other day don’t know
If it was on members syn it was 10 th uh no 1,000 yen steak veggies yada yada yada going to go there for dinner then I’m going to go back to my cap Hotel get a good night’s sleep uh while I test out my augmented reality glasses throwing in an
Onen in that night as well so that’s day one um all the other days I am going to do a couple of things I’ve never done before I’m going to go to O otaro I think it’s called I might do that on the the next day um otu never been there Canal
Town uh going to catch a train out there going to look at the Railway Museum CU I like trains and just go for a little walk out there uh beef impact yeah beef impact is exactly where I’m going that’s right um and uh I’m just going to spend the

Breakfast in Japan it’s it’s still going to happen but um I have to not have lunch and dinner at McDonald’s I’ve got to start having something else Jr is owned by the Japanese government yes they are and um so every place I’m going to go I asked AI to write me a script
Including camera shots whether it be the ferris wheel uh whether it be the Buddha whether it be the eating horse meat whether it be um whatever and AI has given me all these different scripts and like I might I might do one of them

26 uh I need to sit down now and again look at that the magic of Television have I had emu egg no uh I I would not I would not not try it if uh if it was there I just have an generally eggs in general any any sort of egg in
General I I generally don’t like uh I’m not an egg fan um I don’t hate eggs but I I I just find them it’s a taste I don’t like however in saying that um there’s a video coming up I think the members have already seen it the public will see it soon when
Shoto and I went to a Japanese restaurant in uh ueno and he ordered the food um because he wanted me to eat seafood and uh and trick me and he ordered these eggs these these little I’m guessing in their CH legs or something I don’t know and there was
Like four or five eggs on a skewer stick and I don’t know what they did to them they may not have done anything to them I don’t know but they were so I knew they were eggs straight away but they were so nice they are the best tasting
Egg I’ve ever tasted in my whole entire life and I could have downed plate after plate after plate after play of them they were they were extraordinary but generally speaking egg to me is is something I avoid um uh why did I go then uh a mistake I
Went there by mistake kind of sort of uh only mix in with food yeah you know like I eat eggs in like I I’ll eat scrambled eggs even though I find them uh you know I’ll eat eggs in fried rice and that’s fine I’ll eat eggs in cakes
Cuz there’s eggs in cakes type thing you know I think eggs are okay if they’re in something else but eggs by myself I find I find just just they I’m just not for them um I think a lot of the way the the food though relates to me is why I could be
Turned off by food is how we were brought up and not saying my mom’s cooking was bad but it was a different time food was prepared differently when I grew up so for example we’d have um you know the the eggs that you would crack the top
Off you know and dip your bread in and all that sort of stuff and I hated it you know if a little bit of eggshell got in it I was really put off for example um fish when I grew up you know mom would cook fish and um it would be dry
As the soes of your shoe um and it would have bones in it so I just really hated it so much especially the bones of Bones put me off so I always said to people I was allergic to fish just to get out from eating fish um
You know a lot of the stuff that we ate when we grew up was either fried or wasn’t seasoned or you know not a fault of moms I mean that’s what the cuisine was that’s how we ate so when I got older um I did and the food in in in
Australia is very expensive I didn’t start eating good recently I had been over the past few months I’ve been eating very good and and and cooking recipes and using herbs which I’ve never used before and doing all sorts of stuff so I’m starting to get used to other
Flavors and other tastes it’s making me fat though uh so when I go to Japan this time I’m going to force myself to eat More stuff he says you like egg Sunnyside upper and omelet yeah see I’m I’m I’m not for that I’m I’m I mean I wouldn’t I wouldn’t not eat it if it was given to me but I just don’t think it’s any anything special you know and when they’re like Sunnyside
Up especially if the the bottom of that you know around the edge and that if that’s got that little bit sort of like crusty thing going on there it’s it’s just like yeah it’s just not for me I don’t know uh did I did an egg pun I like them
Scrambled scrambled you can at least play with because you can add things I know in an omelet you can add things as well but it’s still got that kind of consist you know it’s got that omelet consistency about it so um yeah it’s kind of yeah um night walking under the moon

Actually felt so sick that I honestly thought that I would never be well to go to saporo next week that’s how that’s how bad I felt I thought wow I actually thought I was having a heart attack or a stroke to tell you the truth um before it actually
Broke out uh cuz my housemate’s going are you sure do you need to go to the emergency do you need to go to the hospital I’m going no no I’m I’m kind of fine but I I I just feel I just feel like really off and really bad and I was getting fluttering
In the chest I I I honestly felt as I say like it was a stri or heart attack then the the next day it broke out into this sinus slash whatever and I suffer from sinus stuff going on anyway I need an operation on it but it was the worst
Of the worst of the worst of the worst that I’ve ever felt for such an awfully long time um and I thought wow there is no way next week I’m going to be jumping on a plane absolutely no way so luckily luckily it broke but I tell you I mixed
Every sort of chemical and and tablet known to man plus prescription stuff on top that I’m pretty sure was not healthy for my body either but I threw absolutely everything at it and I had humidifiers going and all sorts of stuff but man it was bad yeah had a bug a few
Weeks ago it must be going around uh salvator Kumo uh the is Kumo it’s not Kumo kuo kuo at the top of Kyoto station had the best spaghetti bolog I’ve ever had oh like and I’ve had the worst spaghetti bolognese you could ever have in Japan as well I went to uh one
Italian restaurant which was out in sunshine city in in Tokyo where the largest GAA arcade is and there was this Italian Shop uh restaurant that I went in and I didn’t realize till after I ordered and got the food it was was an Italian Shop uh well Loosely based
Italian Shop but it was designed for children like little little children not big children little children so the spaghetti was your packet spaghetti that had been thrown in the water for a few minutes uh you know with a with a drizzle of you know Jarred
Tomato stuff on it you know what I mean it it was it was rather ordinary it was rather cheap though I must admit um but uh but but yeah have had good um Italian in Japan um I haven’t really had much Japanese food in Japan to tell you the truth it’s it’s always
Been um either American Italian uh you know their Curry is not really Indian is it I mean their Curry is more like a an English curry in a way um yeah but this time I’m going to eat course I am ah so so yeah just so amazing isn’t it
The view makes it even better one thing I’m going to do when Mad Hat joins me in Toro I’m so wrapped that somebody’s decided to join me in saporo this trip spontaneous you just said okay well I’m coming um being up the top of Mount moer going in that
Restaurant uh again I don’t know if I showed it here or the members or whatever but to go up there and have that cheap ass meal that cheap five course meal or whatever it was while looking out at the spectacular view uh is going to be extraordinary no that’s right I mean it
It everything here is just so expensive and so overpriced I get it cuz wages here are so this is what people don’t understand they go oh you know the shops are ripping us off and this is this is ripping us off and you know at the end
Of the day their business business and they have to make a profit and you know I I again I it could just be me but um I understand everybody loves money but they’re killing Australia right because every time you get a pay rise everything goes up Australians don’t realize this
These shops these restaurants or even supermarkets they’re paying squillions of dollars for rent now like Absol you know and a fortune for staff and then all these things we keep adding you know 4 day week instead of 5 day week extra week of annual leave you know um you
Know uh maternity leave all this sort of stuff it’s costing companies an absolute fortune and of course all this cost has to go on something it goes on the the end product so you know you a friends of mine actually own a um Italian uh store
In per and and they’re known all around the world they their little restaurant is known all around the world uh so people CU down the road but it’s got so expensive now that not only are their products very expensive but they can’t use the ingredients they used to use
Either because it’s just too expensive so they’ve got to cut back so the quality is not there anymore you know they they they’ve got to be frugal with what they buy which is kind of crap um Australia is Australia is killing itself and Australians don’t realize that Australians are killing
Australia through their greed of money and again I say I do understand we all love money we need money to live but you are no better off that’s the point if you get a pay rise today everything’s going up tomorrow to pay for that pay rise you don’t get to pay rise for
Nothing just like during Co the government handed out all this money Australian said it was free money it’s not we got to pay it back you know um and we’re just killing ourselves in this country absolutely killing ourselves so yeah you go to Japan it’s ridiculously
Cheap and the food standard is so good because of the competition um it’s just extraordinary just extraordinary hello super you like the Japanese rice and white sauce interesting never had that never had that um you know the best rice the best fried rice I ever had in Japan
Was from 7-Eleven I like 7-Eleven food oh man you know what what quiso do you would to when you go to Japan oh 7-Eleven freezer section no that’s what I eat um yeah but uh not long to go till I get there uh sorry if you’re all jealous
That I’m going sorry if you’re jealous of Mad Hatter is now going as well um but yeah it’s going to be really interesting to see what she thinks her first time ever ever seeing snow she’d never seen it she’d never been there it’s going to be um I don’t
Remember what it was like the first time I saw real snow it was uh it was a buzz and absolute Buzz um I I already pre-warned her I said you got to be careful cuz it can be slippery you know like where people have been trampling at The Pedestrian Crossings where they
Trample and they they make the snow basically ice you step on that the wrong way and you your feet go from under you but um uh yeah I think she’s going to love it I think she will anybody any conversation feel free to say while you’re typing I just want

Dare say there is Japanese ones but see they’re not the same ingredients Michael that’s the thing we went to the Korean one here uh before Victor left and it was good we got to cook it at the table and yada yada yada the the people running the business were awfully nice
Um they were really really nice but the ingredients are not the same well the ingredients are the same but they they’re Australian versions you know the they’re the Australian meat they’re the Australian vegetables and that so um even though the restaurant had tried its best to give you the most
Authentic thing it could it was not up to the standard of um like what it would be in Korea Victor you know Victor said the same he said the interior tick the staff tick the friendliness customer service tick tick tick tick tick um you know the cooking machines and everything
Tick tick tick tick tick um the menu items tick the ingredients tick the taste different tastes different so that’s um that’s uh that that that’s the only problem I I’ve never um when I came back from Japan after my second trip did I have the Kobe boix I think it
Was I think it was the second trip I went to the KOB beef um experience where I had my own private chef and y y so when I came back to Australia I found um not K beef the Australian version is it Waggy I don’t know whatever beef it was
And I paid a small fortune for it and I was still in Perth at the time and I said to some friends come on we going to have the experience like I had in Japan and I bought a grill and did all that sort of stuff and it wasn’t the
Same the meat in Australia has a weird taste about it just a weird weird weird taste the the Japan meat doesn’t have that particular I don’t know what the taste is I can’t explain it but Japan meat you need nothing right when I had the KOB beef it
Melted in the mouth it was it was sweet it was oh it was just it was like something you’ve never tasted before whereas in Australia it was kind of like a metallicky funky kind of taste it’s it’s just it’s just very different so yeah you can’t um unfortunately you can’t

Stuff and we learned today Victor thanks to Soro J two things about the Japan trains that we never knew uh and the first one is if you’ve ever been to Japan before you will know when you’re near a train station you keep hearing the bing Bong bing bong you’ve heard it everybody’s heard it right that Bing Bong noise and um we never knew what it was for and Saar J let us know today that Bing Bong that noise is for blind people it tells them uh if they follow the tactiles on the floor th those
Yellow raised little tiles if they follow that it will take them closer to the Bing Bong noise which is the ticker gate so it guides them that noise guides them to the ticker gate so we learned that today and the second thing we learned today is you know those birds
That you hear at all the train stations in Japan which we thought was just to keep you calm and relaxed you know the that’s actually for blind people as well and it’s a sign it’s an indication to them to let them know that they are coming towards an escalator or a set of
Stairs just ingenious the way Japan does these sort of things is just absolutely ingenious it’s so very subtle as I say like we don’t know we think oh it’s a nice sound of a bird it’s to keep us calm you know beautiful area beautiful sounds of birds you know bringing nature
From the outside in no these are these are little things that they put in for people with disabil in Japan so there you go next time you hear those little birds uh and you’re in Japan you now know that it’s for escalators or stairs so if you are visually impaired um and
You’re in Japan or or blind or whatever just just let it be known that you know Japan is set up and ready to go for you it’s got these these little triggers that Bing Bong that’ll take you to the tickets the the that’ll tell you where the stairs are you know it’s pretty
Cool uh Victor is such a nice guy yes he is you’ve been in contact with them excellent excellent excellent uh excellent so um uh Victor traveled all around Europe recently learning about infrastructure public transport all this sort of stuff and I keep saying to him you know if you want to make career
Better because he’s he’s studying and you know working career and that you just got to cross the water and go to Japan like there is not much that you can’t learn about uh public transport infrastructure and all that sort of stuff than what you can in Japan of
Course Sam’s been there recently in his wheelchair and if you’re not on Sam toown 2002’s channel do check it out because he’s going to be showing uh stuff of him and his wheelchair in Japan you know which is good as well you know you might be uh disabled and have to be

In Japan the only people I do shopping for in Japan is whoever’s looking after Bella at the particular time because it’s part of the condition of them looking after Bella they usually get some sort of payments and and gifts from Japan so but yeah I don’t I don’t shop for for for
People at all um you know the most of the stuff you can get online anyway these days especially when you’re talking like Kit Kats and stuff like that um you you got Amazon Japan for example um all that sort of stuff but the last time I posted from Japan it
Cost as much as what it was the product I bought I I sent something over to raru it cost like over $100 in postage so yeah uh yeah no I I I I won’t be doing any shopping in Japan for anybody Mike I’m sorry won’t do that uh at all uh and
It’s not just you it’s for anybody I just I just I just don’t do it these days it’s too expensive too complicated um then you got to piss fart around with money and all this sort of stuff um I just I just sadly don’t do it you can
Buy them online that’s right any sort of Kit Kat flavor you can buy uh online now anyway uh buying buying flavor Kit Kats Is Not Unusual if you’re looking for uh Japan snacks um we we we don’t advertise them here but you’ve got lots of gift boxes
These days that you can buy whether it be a one-off box or every month uh Tokyo treats does one so every month they send you a box with with new snacks in them you get drinks and chips and lollies and all sorts of things in them and a nice
Little book uh you have have haido specific ones you can get um so there’s all these gift boxes now and they’re the best way to go because you’re not paying the exorbitant cost of postage um if you want some uh snacks though Mike uh saporo J does have a business in saporo
That could be a way to go uh saporo J sells Japanese candies Chocolat sweets and drinks uh in his uh store in saporo um you can order from his website and uh because he is a business he can basically post for very very little this
Is the thing so uh maybe check out his website and uh he if you don’t know his website we have advertised and shown it here a few times before if you don’t know his website I’ll post it on the community tab a little bit later on and
I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to get kick Kats in that from him anyway um and because he’s a business you know he you could just click online what you want and and he’ll he’ll Zoom it out to you so that could be the best the best thing to do but um
But yeah I I I don’t do stuff like that now I uh and I stopped doing it because I remember I I sent something to somebody once I bought the product and they go yeah yeah yeah you know we’ll pay for the postage and all this sort of
Stuff then I posted it and the postage was a lot more than they or me expected and at which point they said well we don’t want to pay for that return the product and I said I can’t return the product um it’s very very hard one thing that is
Very hard to do in Japan is returning the product one thing you’ve got to be aware of if you buy something in Japan uh as a foreigner you’re not covered by any sort of warranties or anything so if you’re going to buy electrical goods for example anything like that what you buy
You buy that’s that’s the thing what you buy you buy um I had to return something once to a store in Japan as a nonresident um and it it was a mission they they did eventually give me my money back but but it took many many
Many many many many many many many hours uh so it is buy a beware in Japan um and it’s bu a beware for for a few reasons a lot of people buy especially electrical stuff in Japan to realize that um menus uh are in Japanese uh the voltage is
Different in Japan um some people go oh yeah but we can just change the menu to English well not always some products on Brands you cannot change the language of the menus um a lot of the stuff is region locked uh you know there’s all
Sorts of things going on there so if you are going to buy stuff in Japan you’ve got to be uh you got to be weary on on on what you buy you know and if you buy electrical stuff you got to make sure you buy step down converters if you need
Them and and like and all but again you’re not covered by warranty so if you leave that country something goes wrong even if you’re in the country something goes wrong you’re not covered by um uh the warranties or anything so just be aware of that just be aware of that of
Course you don’t have to worry about warranties and all that sort of stuff with uh chocolates and candies and stuff like that but you know I’ve bought some expensive things in Japan for uh this time around when I go to big camera I’ll be I’ll be buying something very
Expensive from big camera it’ll be the the most expensive thing I’ve ever bought in Japan I’ll be buying uh next week and um you know it is buy a beware I know by buying it it’s it’s buy a beware so yeah uh yeah uh Nintendo consoles a
Region locked and I know you can pay to get them unlocked or but but by the time you pay that price you might as well just buy in your country um also if you try uh you know unlock it yourself with um hacks and all this sort of stuff you can damage the
Hardware you can damage it all so it is Barby we I mean there’s certain things that you don’t have to be a no-brainer about like in ay harbra in the back street you know Tech like this you know it is what it is it’s going to work it’s
Going to cause me no problems if it did ever break it’s kind of like worth nothing do you know what I mean type thing um so there there is stuff that you don’t know you glasses I buy my glasses there uh good example Russell bought glasses the wrong prescriptions
In the glasses I don’t know whether it was the ey people that did it wrong or I I don’t know but the the fact is he can’t do nothing about it he’s not in Japan he he can’t get them fixed replaced or anything he’s not in Japan
Um so you know it is it is biob beware be aware of this it’s biob beware uh for for a lot of stuff within Japan but I suppose that’s the same any country you go to really you know if I bought something from Hong Kong and I
Came back to Australia if it broke it’s no good contac in the company in Hong Kong they’re not going to do anything but um it extends a little bit further with the Japanese products because if I was to contact Sony as an example uh you know PlayStation Sony PlayStation and I said
Look I’ve got a problem with my my PlayStation and they go oh yeah yeah no worries uh you know what where did you get it oh I got in Japan sorry you bought it in Japan you know um you the stuff you buy in Japan is really
Not designed to take out of Japan they’re not picking on the tourist it’s just Japan’s never sort of thought about it you could say do you know what I mean they’ve never thought um oh tourists might be coming here to shop you know people you so they they don’t think
They’re far ahead so so yeah so when I bought this stuff and I posted it the postage was very very expensive the person didn’t want to pay the postage I couldn’t return the product um so in the end I had to like have a little bit of an argument with
Them and say well no you look you’ve just got to you just got to pay the postage you know here’s the receipt you know I’m not not scamming you buy any stretch of the imagination but um but yeah but you know it is what it is you know if you’re
Buying something cheap whatever if you if you go to hard off you’re not going to be covered by warranty anyway with those sort of things you know it’s um a lot of the stuff is what they call junk which means it can work it it just hasn’t been tested my um mini disk
Player my denim mini disc player was junk from hard off cost me 20 Australian dollars best thing I ever bought uh but I had to buy a $100 step down converter to use it without the step down converter I could wouldn’t use it if I plugged it into the power in Australia
It just would have caught on fire um when we go for Christmas 2024 are we going to be mainly on our own a lot or with each other that’s a that’s a good question the thing about seoro 2024 is um it is what you want it to be uh for
Example um a few of us have been to saporo many many times and we want to hang around with people and have a drink so you know we want to sit with you and have a meal and have a drink of course we want to do that but during the day
They might want to do something that is not tourist related where you might want to do something tourist related do you know what I mean so um it it’s going to be however you want it to be if you want to tag along with a group or people um
And and and go here or do this or whatever you can uh if you want to be on your own you can uh the the the thing we’re trying to do is we’re trying to encourage us all to have meals together you know drink together uh you
Know have some fun together go go to some places together but you know um you don’t have to be alone but you might want to be alone is what I’m saying so it’s an open itinerary it’s what best suits you um you know if you want to be
With a group of people that are doing the tourist attractions you be with that group of people if you want to leave that group and go out on your own or do something you do that as well um it it’s to encourage firsttime people to Japan and
Seoro as well because you know as I say you might want to be on your own but join us for dinner at night but if you’re a first-time traveler you might be scared of being there you don’t know anything you only speak English of course you can tag along with us you
Know you we’ve been there a million times before there’s not much more in Toro I need to do right so like when I meet Mad Hatter on this journey Mad Hatter already has given me a list of stuff that she wants to do that I’ve already done before I’ve already done
The beer factory and the TV Tower and mount Moira but I’ll go with her do you know what I mean like I I I’m I’m happy to go with her that’s the thing so you know you might the group in the morning you know if we all decide to have
Breakfast together in the morning we might split up in different groups this group might say okay well we’re going to the TV Tower and this group might say well we’re going to the Chocolate Factory and this group might say we’re we’re going to you know and you can just
Fit with whatever group you want and and and and do it as you wish but it’s always good I think when you go away with a group anyway to have your alone time to have your you know because even the best of friends tensions can Fray if all you do is see
Each other 24/7 you know what I’m saying uh does Japan build a train stations but not open it until it’s needed yes and no I mean their stations are are big Mega structures for example they’re building shin conen and magl stations at the moment of course they
Don’t need them at the moment because they’re still building the lines but they don’t do like China I’m guessing you’re referring to the ones in China where they build a station at a potential City in the future and they don’t use that for 20 odd years no they
Don’t do that their stations will be intended to be use but they’ll be part of the greater project which is being made at the moment so for example they’re building a new saporo station for the shinhan San the shinon San’s not going to get there until 2030 but the
Station will be there before the shinon San gets there however they’re both being built at the same time uh uh you don’t like the cold I’m going there for a few days just to meet you guys um you know I don’t like the cold either

The planet uh so yeah you know they they have a lot of snow and it gets awfully cold but uh you know the infrastructure which you saw today for example um shows how they uh how they man manage and live with the snow there wouldn’t be too many places
In the world that has snow that has an underground city as well as an above ground City you know what I’m saying it’s uh it’s a very uh I think it’s very manageable in in in suppor the cold for me anyway to be fair I’ve got every sort of Gizmo and
Contraption out like I’ll get one of my gizmos because it’s just here like I have I have this does anybody know what this is I got this in Torro uh last winter does anybody know what that is does anybody know what this is have a
Guess do you know what this is and I think if I went anywhere else in the world um they wouldn’t have this oh my God I look like a I look like a I look like I’ve got a comb over now it doesn’t go in the head by the
Way um you know anywhere else in the world I went where there was snow or cold I don’t think they would have Tech like this so Japan is uh Japan is one in a million I think for your head no because you would die I’m pretty sure you would die you

Uh that’s a high setting so there’s three settings there’s white blue and red right blue but you can’t see it on C no white pink and red you can’t see it on camera properly and uh this is uh for your neck so it it tucks in the back of your
Shirt and uh this is a heater this is a heater for your for your neck so when you when you’ve got your jacket on uh you know your your winter jacket this fits on the inside of your winter jacket heats up uh your neck heats up
Your spine heats up the the whole back of you basically takes a chill takes a chill off you it look like a nun exactly so you know that’s what that one is and it lasts for quite a few hours uh it keeps you toasty warm um so you know they
Have a lot of really cool technology in Japan to keep you warm so this one you you of course you have to buy but then you’ve got stuff like this which you can buy all they give out as well and that’s this thing let me grab it
This is a 16h hour 16h hour heat patch 16 hour heat patch and uh I all you do is you just uh take it out the bag and you stick it on your shirt wherever you want on your shirt on your back on your legs whatever and uh this keeps you warm
For for 16 hours and they give these as I say like this was given away for free just people on the street you know here is our little advert of whatever business they’re advertising here I have a heat pack and for 16 hours you’re you’re toasty warm toasty warm if if you
Get super cold you can put more than one on but these are like really really warm again once you’ve got your your big jacket on if you’ve got one of these underneath your jacket and you you attach these to your clothes you don’t attach them to your skin um it creates
Like a little sauna going you know on the inside of your jacket these things keep you uh really really warm so you know these are very very cheap to buy if you don’t get them for free they’re very very cheap to buy in Japan you get them in in
Packs of you know 5 10 20 50 whatever and uh and as I say that lasts 16 hours so if you are going to stick this to your clothing may I suggest Stick it to the inside of your jacket that you can take off because when you are inside at
A restaurant or something it’s it’s heated they got open fireplaces or you know whatever Heating in the roof if this is stuck on your body uh you know on your shirt that you can’t take off you’re going to get really really really really really really hot so if it’s on
Your jacket at least you can take your jacket off and you know cool down a bit once you’re inside uh can you get frostbite in Torro uh well the answer to that is you can get frostbite anywhere Michael but you know if if you are dressed appropriate
Uh the answer is no so yes you can like if if if you went out without gloves on for example and you’re outside for a long period of time or without a beanie of course you can get Frost Sprite it’s minus when I go for the snow Festival
It’s going to be – 10 -15° so yeah you can get frostbite but you know um a simple beanie set of gloves you know you’ll be fine yeah only if you wear summer clothes in Winter uh yeah tried the uh tried that on your back and it was sweating yeah yeah like
It’s amazing how see if you just heat one part of your body it it like circul like your body circulates at heat you know what I mean so yeah these are really good um you can get them for your shoes as well you can get smaller ones that you can put on the
Inside of your shoes um when I first went to saporo and I Know Places get really cold in in Australia earlier for example when it gets to like 15° not not negative just normally 15° I’m cold but in in seoro when it’s minus 15° I’m perfectly fine it’s a different
Sort of cold it’s a completely different sort of cold um uh it’s very dry there when it’s cold so you know you’ve got to keep the moisture going on um as such your skin gets very dry uh my sinus plays up a bit because
It’s dry as well so you know we get the little portable humidifiers going well I do anyway but um uh uh like we we got Kmart in Australia we got Kmart in Australia and they sell like cheap tracksuit trousers tracksuit pants whatever you call them in your country you know they’re like $8
Whatever they are for a set of tracksuit pants I wear a set of tracksuit pants underneath my normal everyday jeans that keeps my legs perfectly warm do you know what I mean perfectly warm my shoes my my my shoes are just snow shoes yeah they there they’re
Um they’re furry inside but I’ve been to do I’ve been to spor without the furriness inside and you know as long as they’re a waterproof shoe your feet stay kind of warm you know if you got good socks on do you know what I mean then don’t get cold if
You get wet like if the if the snow gets in there and it melts it gets wet but you can as I say get these for your shoes that you get two in a pack they’re half the size you stick one in your shoe bang you know you’re you’re laughing um
And then with my with my uh snow jacket I’m I’m I’m warm so um I yeah so so and you saw sapora today you don’t have to be outside in the snow for lengthy periods of time anyway if the snow does affect you or if the cold
Does affect you um you know those entrances to the underground area are everywhere so for example where Dory Park is where the snow Festival is there’s five or six entrances to the underground section so you can do like a section of the snow festival and go okay
I’m feeling a little bit cold now you can go downstairs get warm have a cup of tea whatever once you’re warm again come back up do the next section go back down you know uh it’s it’s not a brutal cold whatsoever when I live stream over there in the winter when
We’ve done the snow Festival before I I can’t wear a glove on the hand that I have to control the phone with right so I have a glove on this hand but on this hand I have no glove so you know uh like if I I see it in my pockets when
I’m you know yada yada y but if lift it outside the pocket and I’m like this for literally a couple of minutes I’m I’m fine you know what I mean it’s it’s not painful um yeah so it’s a different sort of cold different sort of cold uh sweatpants in the United
States uh drinking rum will keep you warm sake yeah sake um hot chocolate they’ve got oh here’s a good tip for you a great tip for you uh which I have done a few times before cuz there’s vending machines on all around Japan and um uh
You just buy a couple of $1 canned soups or hot coffees and they’re hand warmers and I’m not joking they’re hand warmers you buy two cans of hot soup so $2 right um You sck them in your pockets you put your hands on them you’re laughing so you

The cold in seoro is completely different and again uh saporo has been built with this in mind you never need to go above ground if you don’t want to if the cold affects you you don’t need to go above ground you can stay underground completely uh all those
Walkways they join up with all the buildings um you know it’s it’s it’s really really manageable the foot paths are heated in seoro did you know that I’ve mentioned on a few channels a few times before um every shop is heated every restaurant is heated every uh you know as I say as
Long as you got gloves they don’t need to be thick gloves either it’s just to take that chill off as long as you got gloves um as long as you got waterproof shoes and as long as you got a good jacket you’ll be fine you will absolutely be
Fine have you seen hot coco in Japan yes yes I’ve seen hot coco everywhere in Japan and the vending machines they rotate their stock throughout the year in case you never knew and there is an there is a hot chocolate in the vending machines that is really really good really good so uh
If you’re ever in Japan at winter have a look for the hot chocolate in the vending machines it’s extraordinarily good but yes there is hot chocolate there’s hot chocolate everywhere in Japan they um I would say they are more into hot chocolate than what they are like coffee they’re more into hot chocolate
Than what they are tea really um yeah the uh the Chocolate Factory oh my God the Chocolate Factory in saporo oh my God you want hot chocolate chocolate factory in saporo oh my God amazing amazing um and they also sell the cans of hot chocolate they’re cold of
Course when you buy them you can buy them hot but what I’m saying is in the shop you can buy the cans of the hot chocolate to take back to your country as well um the people that looked after Bella last time wanted a carton of the
Hot chocolate cans so I brought them back um so yeah yeah yeah there’s there’s lots of hot chocolate floating around in Japan so yeah you know all these things keep you all these things you know hot chocolate keeps you warm um yeah don’t don’t let the cold weather
Put you off because you’re talking about a country that has robots running hotels so I’m pretty sure they can give you the technology to keep you warm um yeah I said this to madh you know madh Hatter is having trouble buying uh snow gear at the moment cuz
Australia is in summer so therefore you can’t buy winter stock and I said to madh don’t panic because Don keyote donke donke is open 24 hours a day in Toro 24/7 24 hours a day s days a week and you can always go into Don keyote grab yourself a scarf pair of
Gloves heat machines um you know and Donkey Y is very cheap as well and they sell everything you can imagine I left that on my God it’s so warm it’s nice actually I’m GNA I’m going to wear this now let me turn it up high there we go so yeah so you know
