He’s a video of one of the hotels I stayed at in Okayama just after my Summer Tour.

It’s not a “minshoku” or anything special, it’s just a normal Japanese style hotel with tatami mats i.e. the grass mats you see on the floor.

The hotel is called the Washu Highland Hotel 鷲羽 ハイランド ホテル – Eagle Feather Highlands!

Take no toilet and in here will be uh washing thing and showering and stuff and then go back in the main room and this is the main room that’s pretty cool isn’t it um yeah so this is a normal japanese style hotel nothing special just call it a hotel

  1. how much is in average to stay there.. and how do u ask to book a room in the hotel. do u have speak japanese or english?

  2. I always do it in Japanese, but I would imagine you could go through a travel agent back home. I just checked the website for that particular hotel and it's all in Japanese though!

  3. I've got a couple more videos I shot there, including a ninja staircase! I might also be popping back there later this month so I'll see if I can take some more.

  4. Most of the students I know either do homestays with families (probably the best thing to do at first I'd say) or rent out typical normal apartments. I can't promise anything for these, but let me see what I can do!

  5. Can you please clear up some stuff that MY FAMILY is saying about Japan please?

(These are their quotes, not mine)

    1) All of the houses are extremely small.
    2) You wont find a good paying job there.
    3) Everything is too expensive.
    4) There is a lot of crime there.
    5) Too many natural disasters and to frequently.

Can you please help me on these.

    Church1000

  6. Sounds like your family love you so much they don't want you to go!

    1. Yeah, houses are generally much smaller than the US.
    2. There are just as many well paid jobs as in the US and probably less not so well paid jobs.
    3. Compared with the US maybe, but it's still cheaper than Europe. Electronics are cheaper.
    4. I think this one is obviously not in the slightest bit true!
    5. Yeah, but there are just as many in the states as well!

  7. Japan is quite wonderful. Shame everyone only recommends Tokyo. Fukuoka is nice too.

  8. I love Okayama! It's really beautiful there. Your video brings back so many memories… Thanks

  9. just like the comment before me,how much is that?,thanks very much,i just wanna know cuz i wanna go on a vacation to japan 😛
    thanks

  10. It is more than a western style hotel room but usually it isn't that much more expensive when you factor in the full service nature of the experience.

  11. Temple university don't really like me!

They have a lecturer there who does a course about why my methods of learning a language (the songs, videos, games etc.) are so bad because people have fun whilst learning!

  12. lol ^_^ they are jealous, jk
myself I combine, lessons, such as kanji lesson, vocabulary, grammar etc with practice talking to native voip, or pen pal texting, also, anime, movies, games, songs ^_^ so its lessons plus social interaction, plus entertainment, and its working very well I must say, I am learning something everyday ^_^

  13. I should try a hotel in Japan one of these days, I mean I have tried one, but it wasnt that great and it was only for a few days when I wne to kyoto, pretty far from my obachan's house.

  14. @GenkiJapanNet

Well, why can't you have fun whilst learning? Sounds like this lecturer doesn't have a sense of humor.

  15. lol its just funny to watch videos and recognize people you know from videos you watched a long time ago.
