I left Hamada today for Kyushu Island. After putting my bags in a locker at Kokura Station, I visited Mojiko, a historic port in Kitakyushu city. There are many interesting historic buildings to see, all within a 2-3 block radius of Mojiko Station. I then walked to the Kanmon Bridge and through the undersea tunnel to Shimonoseki city, on Honshu Island. After visiting a couple of places, I took the train back to Kokura to check in to the hotel.
