I took a ferry from Okinawa to Kagoshima Japan. The sea was amazingly beautiful.
This route is operated by two different companies, but there is only one ferry from Okinawa to Kagoshima everyday (they both operate every other day)
The one I took was A Line, Naminoue.
And I found out booking in English is not available. They accept bookings by phone but they speak Japanese.

Hey Solo TJ. Sorry to say this my friend but is I were a doctor, I would euthanise that Japanese Curry. That's not a curry mate. Have you tried a good Sri Lankan Black Pork Curry, or an Indian Goat Madras Curry with all its vegetables? That is living old son. I don't know whether you have visited Sri Lanka; India or Pakistan, now those countries are the home of curries.

Not the nicest ship you have travelled on. Especially the bed where in one of your videos you had a t.v. in it. But the stop offs were nice and the colour of the sea and the beautiful sun rise kind of made up for the 'lack' of comfort and amenities. I'm assuming there were no vending machines because you didn't show any, meaning that with dinner finishing at 1730 and if you wanted a snack (apart from the shop) then tough. You would have to wait until breakfast.

Are there other Okinawan ferries going to the mainland? I hope it'll be an improvement upon this one. Bummer since you usually find the best comfy hotels and ferries for the price.

Wow. The sleep cabin looks like Japanese prison quality. I'm surprised since all other video's show much more luxurious ferries in Japan.

I have been to Japan 6 times since 2010. Next time hopefully will be 2024. The current video: it looked very empty in the Ferry, was that thru the Covid situation at that time? The shower was "free" without paying for it? I think the Capsule option is not bad at all. You still have your privacy as there is just one capsule (not capsule on top of you). Best wishes. Andreas

I love the sleeper ferry/train videos, but I much prefer it when you stay in the pricey rooms, admittedly. Capsules are so claustrophobic! 🙂
Even if the travel with the ferry was a mixed experience, the trip was definitively wonderful thanks to the majestic route ! 😄
Concerning the ferry, it offers really the bare minimum of services, which is quite sad for a long journey of about one day on this ferry. 😔🚢 Unfortunately, the bedroom gives a claustrophobic impression, the restaurant has too limited open times, and some vending machines like the one with the ramen and udon have some mechanical defect. There are fortunately different nice public rooms inside the ferry to spend relaxing moments. 😄
By the way, I'm very happy to discover various islands of Okinawa and Kagoshima for the first time ! 😀🏝 Each island is uniquely wonderful through its peaceful terrestrial ambience and its gorgeous azure blue sea. ☺💙 Those areas of Japan are definitively unique and let us discover this extraordinary country through its tropical paradise. 🏝🙌🏻🇯🇵 Thank you very much for having taken this majestic route. 🙂🙏🏻
