Hey y’all hey it [Applause] is day 19 of vlogmas I lost count for a second there um last night was a late night uh I was do working on some sewing projects and my bedtime is typically like sometimes 7 p.m. 8:00 p.m. 900 p.m.

And I did not go to bed until 1 30ish this morning maybe two so not not firing quite on all cylinders which is why I didn’t have the thumbnail up for this video or all of that but it is day 19 of vlogmas uh all week we have been talking about

Travel um and as part of vlogmas I will keep going live through Christmas Day on the 25th which y’all is less than a week away this is like it’s wild to me because and typically this time of year I’m out in the street somewhere I’m I’m traveling I’m in the process of getting

To some place but before that especially when my kids were still at home like all of the Christmas preparations and all that kind of stuff I used to do like it’s blowing my mind that it’s it’s less than a week to Christmas and I I’m like

I don’t have anything to do there are no preparations for me to make uh which which I love for me I love that for me all right if you are new here and the YouTube algorithm brought me to your stream hey my name is Adelia

Aborad uh a lot of people know me as picky girl travels the world I I am picky about about a lot of stuff I love to travel I live here in Mexico City uh and I what else do you need to know about me I left the US seven years ago

Been abroad since lived in multiple countries and this is my YouTube channel where I share kind of various aspects of my life living abroad travel as well as we talk about money because in order for you to live the life you want and travel and go do things you got to have some

Because I was thinking about like yesterday we talked about um how how you can track travel with other people and like not lose your mind before that we talked about how you can travel in this new era era that we’re living in uh and come out on the other

Side not hating yourself for deciding to travel and today I wanted specifically to kind of talk about like what are some resources us as black women should be aware of this could would be uh companies that do like that curate responsible travel like I mentioned uh yesterday my trip to Cuba

Was with reroot travel which is run by Dr Kiona um I I cannot recommend them enough I I would not go to Cuba again without going with them and uh although Dr Keana is not a black woman uh she is mindful in how she curates things in uh

Cuba to make sure that there’s a focus like on AFR Cuban uh culture and diversity and that sort of thing so you know I was thinking like who are some other uh trip curators who are what are some of the the groups that that if I’m

A black woman and I travel I should know about or who’s who are you using to get travel inspiration like who is your favorite person on IG Tik Tock I I don’t be over on Tik Tok so I can’t help anybody but if somebody watching this knows a great Tik tocker

Who is sharing content that is going to be helpful and meaningful for black women who are trying to to travel please share that so that’s what I want to do today I’m GNA share a few of my favorites with y’all but um I’d love to hear where where are you getting your

Your travel inspiration who’s who who are your go-to travel people I don’t want to use the term uh influencer I’ve never really liked that term but you know like who are the people that talk travel that particularly if you are a black woman this you know they’ve got resources and

Things that um can be helpful for us okay so um what are my favorites uh if we’re talking about people curating experiences um and like trying to find your travel tribe there are two that come to mind um on Instagram I do not know if she is on

Tik Tock her name is diva green and her IG handle is I got your black you know kind of like I got your back but I got your black and her focus is on um black let me make sure I’m I’m I’m telling y’all correctly not just here in in Mex but of

The diaspora everywhere let me see um what does it say on her IG uh your guide to Global black culture and immersive travel experiences on IG it is I got your blackcore I love the content that she posts um because I’ve mention to y’all in particular you know because I’m a bit

Of a history nerd and a geography nerd I I love it when uh people are sharing experiences and cating experiences for other Travelers that really really goes beyond the surface are more immersive that allow you to connect with um populations in a place that you don’t T

Particularly get to see um she is doing um an afro Mexican experience she’s hosting one in March I think June and I know there’s one in October and maybe somebody is watching this and kind of didn’t know that afrom Mexicans were a thing that there is a black population a a native

Black population here in Mexico um y’all we got to remember the transatlantic slave trade like we we got cousins everywhere they just got off at a different boat stop than we did um so she in in in wider Mexican culture this is a group that often gets overlooked they

Were not recognized in the for like the census purposes and things like that I think up until 2015 it’s very very new but she curates a trip in the Costa chicaa region of Mexico uh which is where H a large number of the afrom Mexican population lives um I will be

Going on that experience in March but uh her her her content her content is is is what’s the word I want to say like not only is it good it’s like I’m I’m I told y’all I’m struggling I did not get enough sleep but basically

Um so I like I got your black I also like Exodus Summit which I know a lot of you are already familiar with um but those of you who are not uh Exodus Summit is honestly it is the Premier event for black women who want to travel who want

To be digital Nomads who want to move abroad um they the the summit the virtual Summit is typically held in October um if you’re interested in that I know they sell replays but Exodus Summit also has a community excuse me on Facebook where it there are something like 13,000 14,00

Black women there who are sharing their experiences traveling they are they can be a resource and answer questions for you um you know about like this was my experience here or this is the Airbnb I stayed at or I ate at this restaurant um you know you’re wondering

For things or like what the vibe is going to be like in a particular place I think that kind of information is invaluable um and so uh you can get to the community I think if you go to Exodus summit.com Community it will take you there and if

HT um she is uh Jin Z but um she has been traveling full-time for for the last year or two one of the things that I love about what Gabby does and addition like to sharing you know tips and tricks and and all of that kind of travel content stuff she shares paid

Travel opportunities many of which have no age limit so I’m mentioning this because I know a lot of y’all who are watching this either now live or watching in the future on the replay hey replay gang um I know a lot of y’all uh want to travel

Mom but you want to like travel with your kids and you’re like planning photo shoots and you’re trying to think about like okay uh you know what are some of the what’s like some of the gear you need and that sort of thing um I think her her account is good for that

Okay and there’s there’s a mom that she’s friends with that they sometimes travel together with the kids and without okay uh what other what other accounts or you know either IG Tik Tock uh people who do trips do we need to know about uh does anyone know somebody who does a mindful curated

Experience for the gala Islands I do not anybody watching anybody watching in the future know if you do please okay okay why Celeste why uh Marie at ballgirl will travel what what about her page because I know she’s got a YouTube channel she’s on

IG I think she might be on Tik Tok too um what about her page why why why do folks need to know like what are they going to get when they go there this oh you know who I I don’t know if she is a boomer I don’t know who

Particularly you’re you’re a black woman a part of a couple and you’re like trying to get that man to get with the program definitely y’all should be watching uh our black utopia’s YouTube channel okay okay okay see like Sandra’s genx like I said I I there are y’all know how it is

Sometimes you assume people are older than you but they’re not um and so yeah okay the Yar Bros Ivonne why if I’m a black woman why should I be watching the Yar Bros on YouTube why should I I mean I know this answer but I’m I’m I’m GNA make you do some work

Today I would argue that you would want it if you are curious about um a more nomadic style of travel uh a more slow travel like you you don’t you you’re looking to go beyond just like oh we were there for a week on vacation you

Want to kind of be like a slow mad uh the yard Bros are great again it is a couple so if you’re watching my video and there is a man in your life and you trying to get him with the program they may be somebody good to watch I was just
