We spent an incredible 2 weeks exploring a few cities in India. We experienced everything from the famous Holi Festival to Varanasi. India is not a vacation, it is an experience. An experience I think everyone should have at some point in their life.
The culture and history in this country are the most unique I have ever had the chance to explore.

  6. Foreigners after visiting just the northern part of India be like *I have seen India*. And me from the northeast, I am just *Nah, you haven’t*.

  7. We celebrate holi with our family. Not with some strangers. That's why your experience with holi was different then ours.

  8. I am really sorry to hear that your experience of Holi, wasn't what it's supposed to entail (pure joy and happiness, unity and lots of love). Some people get carried away with this festival and have a different meaning to what fun is, they often forget that the people at the receiving end of it might not like their behavior. As an Indian I can assure you, what you saw and experienced was not Holi, it was a misrepresentation of the festival. I am sure had you experienced this in a different environment, with a different set of people, it would have been one of the most memorable experiences you could have had. I do hope you visit this country a second time, this country has so many more surreal and wonderful experiences to offer. Namaste

  9. This has to be my favorite festival in the world 😁. Second favorite is the Spanish tomato one :). They never talk about the drunk part of Holi usually, I guess it makes sense as people overindulge. I really like the idea of such a colorful expression of humanity.

  10. sorry for what happend with you during holi… some people just dont uderstand how to treat people…
