  2. I love this series. You should go to Bavaria and do an episode on Stonelifting there. Arnold was pretty active in that scene as well…

  3. this may sound insane but I bet if Martins was raised in Japan and trained exclusively sumo his whole life he would currently be a top professional. Same goes for Brian Shaw.

  4. With Eddie Hall and Martin's both having tried Sumo, I would love to see Brain Shaw or some other strongman try it.

  5. the first thing i was about to say was about sumo flexibility. i waited to see i you remarked on it yourself. clearly that's why they go thru the exercises more easily than you, who comes from a less flexible, high impact sport background 🙂

  6. Wtf, you know Japanese?
And it actually sounds like "real" Japanese (as in, it sounds like it's actually your level of proficiency, not the fake influencer stuff). Nice!!!

  7. the content creator says at the begininning of the video he would have unfettered access to the world of sumo. but after watching the video it is obvious he was lying. he is disrespecting all of sumo by saying that. but what does that matter to our creator here that thinks of sumo as a 'demolition derby'. for anyone truly interested in sumo click of this video and search elsewhere

  8. Wow. What a great video. It would be amazing to see you compete once again with guys from Tatsunami beya. And seeing you compete with Hoshoryu who will be hopefully a Yokozuna during that time would be even better.

  9. So you have NO previous wrestling background before this?! Not even folkstyle wrestling experience?!

  10. This is probably one of the best looks at Sumo. You took the time to know them and respect the sport simultaneously through your own lens and viewpoint. Taking time to learn about sumo as both a sport and a cultural/spiritual part of Japan was fun. Only critique would have been to have some time to focus on the tradition of how they cook and chankonabe would have been great.

  11. え?すごいな、きちんと腰が落ちてる・・・
    当たりもちゃんとできてるし。素人でここまでやれる人みたことない。
