伊根の舟屋　Ine no funaya 京都 ( Kyoto , Japan )

Did you know Kyoto has a beautiful blue ocean with houses along the bay ?
This village is called Ine, located on the outskirts of Kyoto. Technically speaking, Ine is located in the most northern part of Kyoto.
It is often described as “ the Venice of Japan” As the name tells, Japanese houses are built on the water of the ocean. the houses surrounding the bay as if floating on the ocean, the 230 buildings lined up next to each other are a spectacular and unforgettable sight.
Even though Ine has so many things that attract tourists, the area is not so popular. I think that is partly because of the location. it takes about 2 hours and a half to 3 hours to make it from kyoto city. You must need a car.
