Osaka’s Shinsekai area is filled with SO MANY things to do, but one of my favourites is to play the retro carnival style games, such as the shooting galleries (shateki)!
Is the ¥30 candy you can win worth the ¥500 you pay to play?… maybe not monetarily but it IS worth the fun you’ll have winning it!
To play, first pay the fee (prices vary slightly but not much) and you’ll get 7 corks to shoot. Squish one of your corks into the front end of the gun and then pull back the lever until it clicks (it won’t stay there but you’ll feel a click and then it’s ready). They are more accurate than you think, so aim for best and let it fire!
Big stuff won’t really move even if you hit them, so I recommend aiming for the lighter items.
