Kawagoe can be accessed from Ikebukuro in 30 minutes or from Seibu Shinjuku in 45 minutes. It’s a place I definitely recommend visiting for a day visit from Tokyo.

Kawagoe is such a beautiful place. Thank you Shinichi & Satoshi for taking us around all the shops and various buildings really enjoyed the tour, Arigato 😀👍🙏
Love this area. It has so many old Japanese buildings. I don't understand how the concrete block buildings like the first dentist office and the old bank with the columns can hold up to earthquakes. I found those very surprising. Hands down, I like the Japanese old buildings. So many shops and treats and restaurants. Looks like a fun place. Hotel looked really nice. I bet it was very clean and tastefully decorated inside. That is my idea of a fun trip. A day trip to somewhere like this. I think I could spend a week there. Thanks.
This is the Japan I really enjoy watching on your videos. Love the old buildings and it history and the people who live there . So your up and coming videos will be a must see for me . Beautiful place to visit 🧡👍
Your videos are so amazing! Japan is so amazing!
You should definitely try a Cuban sandwich if you can. It's one of my favorite sandwiches! We've been to Japan twice, visiting Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Sapporo, etc. but I think I liked Hakodate the best, as there weren't many tourists there and it seemed like a quaint ocean-side town. We still need to visit Kyushu and Okinawa one day.
What's up with the guy in the black and red shirt? I saw him three times already. lol
Hi nice video. Nice seeing you both again
Wonderful Vlog…Two beautiful people
💕
Growing up next door to my grandmother, she had persimmon trees that I remember…I remember growing up with hundreds of persimmons falling, overripe, fermenting on the grass and swarming with bees and other things that liked them….I guess the smell stuck with me growing up, so I never actually TRIED a persimmon. I can't get the fermented memories out of my mind haha
Aloha! Beautiful!🥰
Lovely , I remember going to Kawagoe and finding an excellent Ramen Restaurant. Did you ever do a Video about Shonan ? I would love to go there next time I come to Japan. Because I really like the ocean.
Enjoy yout day trip
Fantastic tour! Definitely will visit on our next visit! thank you
Thank you for this great video! I love Tokyo, but I also really liked Hiroshima and Kamakura 🙂
Shinichi asking for persimmons is so adorable. If I had a persimmon tree, I would give all of the fruits to you in a heartbeat!
And yes, I would love to see you guys in kimonos please! I love kimonos! ❤️ You two would look super handsome in kimonos, and sexy 😘
Great vid, Shinichi! My wife made sure I had pinned the restaurants you visited for our upcoming trip (whenever that is!)
Thank you for showing some of the back streets. 😊❤ One of my favourite things to do is just wander around the quieter areas and see more local/everyday scenes.
Shin'ichi san: how did you know whether that nice looking restaurant was a restaurant and not a private residence before you went in? Whenever I visit, I am nervous that some place may be a private residence and I do not want to intrude. I also have questions about the custom for restaurants that keep their door closed in the winter and want the customers to slide it open when coming in. I am always afraid that I will end up intruding on someone's home or an office that is closed to the public. Do you tips on how to negotiate these?
@ 3:50 there both beautiful buildings!👌🕍
Nothing is better then Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 boss… Trust me
Wow it’s first time I’m seeing this place. I have to visit it when I’ll be in Tokyo next time. Looks like a really cosy town
whats up with that same guy w/red shirt and a hat, its like 4th times around in this video. Anyways, love the history buildings and stores.
I grew up in the city and i can't think of a life outside of one. But I like cities like Fukuoka or Sapporo where you get the city vibe and convenience without being overcrowded with people.
Thanks for remembering my comment, ‘I couldn’t find the miso coroquett shop’. Kawagoe is known as ‘Little Kyoto’. No wonder you feel like visiting Kyoto. It’s totally lovely place to visit.
just a village feel to the whole place the different facades are worth a day trip out from Tokyo thx Shinichi
There's a street in Narita, famous for the unagi eels and of course, the Naritasan Temple. On the left side coming from the station intersection, there's a very old house where they sell ceramics. I had a chance to talk, asking how old the house is, no matter how simplistic it may be, to the old lady owner who told me the age by a sign of 500, not sure whether it's a 500-year old house or was built in the year circa 500. It's old though.
Ooh, I was born here! So strange seeing you guys go here!
Ok, what's with the giant blue and pink bear? I want to visit Kawagoe very much.
the style reminds me of the netflix midnight diner : tokyo series i love that series
Thx for the tour!! My preferred town is Kyoto..
I love the historical tours… do more of these videos please
WHY do they drive on the Left side road if America was there after the end of WWII?? most things needed rebuilding then
Walking past modern shops in a modern neighborhood then coming upon such old structures…how beautiful!!!❤
I prefer somewhere like Nara. slow pace and quiet. Big city is okay but is stressful and less natural views.
Sunset, side streets and stroll 💜 I thoroughly enjoyed this vid guys!!! 💯
Keep walking … I'm with you! Am turning into a Shinichi Strider and getting my steps in too! Love seeing the cities, I would be lost and never found if I did this on my own. Thanks …
I love Kyoto
I love your walking tours
@Shinichi’sworld. Where do you get those great makes with he orange trim? Burnt/Dark orange is in my favorite and I have been looking for them ever since I first saw you wear them in a video.
I have never been to Japan before and I have a dream to visit Kawagoe one day when I have the chance. There's an old theatre there that was once used in an older Kamen Rider series, unfortunately the iconic looks are now gone since they renovated the building. But I'd still be interested to visit Kawagoe one day 👍
weird seeing a Lincoln Navigator in Japan lol
@12:20. I’ve never been to Japan, but I’d like the little quiet towns like that. How do u get dinner if they close down at 4? I love sweet taters. Have u had it dried like candy? Hispanics love them, with pineapple, really good.
I’m glad ur getting back to a little normal times again. Here in CA we’re getting warnings about a Covid virus. It’s sad.
Stay safe, see u on ur other channel! ✌️. Michele Clovis CA 🦋. July 11, 2022.

Nice town ! I will go on May 2023 😊
Beautiful Kawagoe stores, offices, shops, residences, reminding me of my family's town. Very home-like welcome, peaceful good vibes!!! Thank you Shinichi and Satoshi for sharing this tour with us!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
