  1. You are low risk ? Sounds like you both had it, but they didn't want to admit it, because of the Olympics. You are low risk means, you are young, so even if you have covid, you will probably be okay.

  2. I got my PCR test from a vending machine for 3300 yen. I can't believe they threw you guys for a loop.
Japan is hiding soooo many cases to make the olympics look good. It's BS.

  3. So sorry to hear that your sickness had taken such a toll on you and has lasted so long. But so thankful to hear that you two are back to 80% and 90% wellness. And I want to agree, it is very frustrating for people to give such an opinion without knowing all the "facts or factors". It is extremely common for people to do this unfortunately, as you both have encountered. They do not realize it can come across as being "insensitive" or/and rude. But I think you both addressed the issue very respectfully 😊🌸.

  4. Strew everything with Nacho chips, EVERYTHING. they are antibacterial if you leave them long enough! Honestly! Really! No joke. It works. DO IT!!!!!

  5. what a crappy birthday! you'll have to do a redo when you're both feeling better.
and so glad you aren't dead!

  6. From how you describe it what you had was a 'lateral flow' test, not a PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) test – these need to be done in a lab and chemicals are added at that stage. Lateral flow tests are much less reliable and lower cost than PCR hence the 'Low risk' rather than positive/negative result. Although both normally use a nasal swab, not saliva collection.

  7. Good to hear you guys are better and it wasn’t COVID. Stay safe Japan seems to be really going through some serious stuff now.👍🏿🙏

  8. If you pushed yourselves too hard during the bike trip, you could have suppressed your immune system.
Then some pathogen would take advantage.
Or even a relapse from diseases you got in past travels, for the same reason.

  9. Well you have described how Japan has taken a left turn and is now a complete dumpster fire with Covid. Having 1% of the population vaccinated should be a national embarrassment for a full developed nation.

  10. People get sick and when you have been, you know when to worry. Generally ear or lung infections, a sore throat, a very high fever, or not breathing are reasons to get attention. If you have a few sniffles or just are tired and achy, you go to bed, drink lemon honey tea and chicken soup, etc.

  11. To me it seems covid nummbers have always been ten times whatever has been announced if getting tests is this hard…and that you definetly had covid but…difficulty breathing, pain all over the body, fatigue? I feel sorry for you both but come one, japanese politics are and have been very dysfunctional for a while now. Like how many problems can they take on and ignore at the same time???

  12. If it was last week NHK Japanese Channel that I watch here in America.. so there were 550 new cases in Tokyo and Osaka was slammed…. my other YouTuber I watch him in Japan . streets walks..which he shouldn't.. but the streets are empty….only small amounts.. this man has been sick a couple times with covid.. now when he's out he wears an n95 because all the people in Japan wear masks but only the cloth ones.. they're not strong enough to harness that the virus..

  13. Oh jeez. I'm sorry it's so hard and this whole story is making me thankful that the LA area eventually nailed down testing in the first few months of this ordeal. Hope you're feeling better! And, oh my goodness, is that a Jeff Rosenstock shirt?

  14. Maybe you have chickenpox. I was having brief morning sweats where my temperature exploded and I’d go back to normal 45 min later. It went on for 3 days. Turns out it was Mexican beer virus. But I ain’t got time to have corona.

  15. Whatever you had it sure seems like you should have had a test. I guess they have a quota of how many positive cases they will allow a week.

  16. i got the second dose pfizer friday afternoon, been feeling like crap, had all the symptoms, spent all saturday in bed. now i have to wait and get the flu as its coming into winter here in Australia and go through this all again. but glad both of you are better

  17. Hope everyone is healthy by now. If there is some trouble in the lungs, I have heard breathing exercises help (wim hof). They would be fun to do on that balcony!

  18. The pricing for your COVID test is pretty awesome. If you wanted to travel to Hawaii from the continental US, you would have to pay over $100 to get a COVID test taken 72 before your flight. Being able to get vaccinated for free is nice, but the test prices – ouch!

  19. After hearing Kyde say she thought working with old people would be difficult for her, I thought I would share a story.

I work as a disability support worker and also in aged care. I’m a massive fan and watch your videos everyday! Even when I’m at work.

Let’s just say your videos make me and some of the people I care for smile😊👍

  20. I'm glad you guys are feeling a bit better now! Hopefully you'll be back at full form in no time ^_^

  21. Really glad you guys aren't dying lol. I hope you both are feeling better :3.

  22. “It was a dude. He probably works for über eat too.” 😂.
Omg I can’t stop laughing at that! Imagine that life!
WoW 😮 I live in a rural location in Tennessee and hubby and I have had the ability and opportunity to simply do a drive in Covid19 testing. We literally didn’t get out of the car each time.
They fill out the form which is like name address and phone- that’s all.

  23. I have missed watching your videos, haven't seen one in about a year and just watched you Tokyo Sakura tram and then this glad you are both doing better! I just got my last shot today so hopefully all will be good out here. You two stay well and keep making those videos.

  24. Sounds like the 'low risk' means you guys had possibly Covid 19, but the virus genetic material amount remaining in your saliva samples are too minuscule to be considered transmittable , because you guys were on the way of recovery, after the acute stage of infection. So low risk of transmission. I wonder if these unofficial private test results get to be included in the official Japan case counts, otherwise the official number is way under reported.

  25. Back in mid-May I had a two week vacation. The first day off I went for a 30 minute walk and almost didn't make it back home. I was utterly exhausted and took a six hour nap within two hours of waking up for the day. I forced myself to stay up until night because I thought I'd be up all night, but I managed to sleep all night too. I started getting a fever and chills for the rest of the day then off and on for the next three or four days. The last night which was a Monday night I woke up totally drenched in sweat. I never lost taste or smell and never had a runny nose. I had a mild headache for less than a day. I never tested for it and hope this was it, because I'll never know for sure. I did get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine back in mid March.
