2日目

早朝散歩
天気がどうなるか心配でしたが、
雨は降っていませんでした。

6時五分前、宿を出ます。
まだ、外はほぼ真っ暗です。
宮城よりか遅い。

・弥彦駅

宿から15分程歩いて付きます。
駅舎がライトアップされています。
なかなか雰囲気のある景観です。
ただし、しまっていました。

・弥彦公園
駅前から公園の入り口です。
昨日、来たところですが、
明るいところで見たい、と
思いやってきました。

ジョギングをしている人も。
しかし、まだ暗い。

山の方に上がっていくと、
さすがに空が明るく見えてきました。
階段を上がると広場になります。

・湯神社奧宮

鳥居がたくさんあり、
「湯神社」奥社と書かれていました。
旗もたくさん立っています。

鳥居をくぐりながら
さらに登うていきます
頂上と思われるところに

小さな祠がありました。
下りの道にも旗が多数ありました。

(後で地図を確認して分かりましたが、
ここを下りて行ったところに「湯神社」
本社がある・・

・もみじ谷

再びもみじ谷に戻ります。
さすがに明るくなってきていました。
人も2〜3人。

昨夜は人ごみでごった返していた
観月橋も、1人が写真を撮っている
だけでした。

明るいところで見て思いましたが、
色づきは今一つかな。

それでもなかなかのところです。

・弥彦神社で朝のお参り。

7時から、ごはんや酒をお供えする
御飯祭に参加しました。

昇殿できます。

宿に戻って朝食を取って
8時頃にチェックアウトです。
神社の駐車場、朝ですが、
もう満車に近い。

何とか車を停める事ができました。
この近く (境内の方向に120m)から
ローブウェイ駅までシャトルバスが出ます。

・弥彦山ロープウェイ

9時から運行。
5分で山頂駅に着きます。
眼下には弥彦神社・
越後平野、
頂上からは反対側に日本海・佐渡島が見えます。

・弥彦山パノラマタワー

円盤型の上下する展望施設。
周りながら上がっていきます。

山頂の辺りには電波塔が多数。

新潟県の電波はここから発信すると。
ロープウェイを下ります。

朝一番だったので、
登ってくる人の方が多く、
下りは我々だけでした。

通常15分間隔ですが、
上りが多数で臨時便運航。
待つのは5分程度で済みました。

・弥彦神社をもう一度見て
駐車場を出ます。

「満車」になっていました。

・燕市ビジターセンター

有名な僧、I「良寛」さんゆかりの地。
以前は食堂があったようですが、

今はやっていませんでした。
・千眼堂つりばし
徒歩3分で赤い吊り橋です。
かなり高い。

越後平野が見下ろせます。
対岸には本覚寺があります。
その手前に
「良寬さん」が10年以上過ごした、
とされる、五堂があり、
ガイドさんが解説してくれました。

・大河津分水

信濃川から取水する分水口があります。
桜並木、季節には綺麗だと思えます。

→1時間走ります。

・長岡市 河井之助記念館

長岡駅近くにあります。
戊辰戦争の英雄。

等身大の写真など
小ぶりながら
見ごたえがありました。

→徒歩3分

・山本五十六念館

太平洋戦争開戦時の連合艦隊司令長官。
彼が長岡出身とは知りませんでした。
戦死当時に乗っていた飛行機の一部が

置かれています。
「常在戦場」の自筆が
両館にあります。

→車で30分

・もみじ園

駐車場はやや離れていましたが、
歩いて向かいます。
他にも人がいましたので
付いていくと迷いませんでした。

庭園ということでしょう。
ここも色づきがもう一つ、と思えましたが、
なかなかの雰囲気でした。

弥彦はどの人はいませんでしたが、
入れ替わり立ち代わり
でした。

暗くなってきています

・高龍神社

階段をかなり上がったところが
本殿になります。

年季を感じさせる雰囲気です。

近くに川があり滝や水の音などが
聞こえますが、残念ながら暗くて
見えませんでした。

社務所は工事中でした。

帰りに気づいたのですが、
途中までエレベータで上がれるように
なっていました。

Day 2

Early morning walk
I was worried about what the weather would be like,

We returned to Momijidani again.
