The JAPOW in HAKUBA at the End of December/The Ultimate Year-End Route for JAPOW Enthusiasts

Japan: A Land of Water and Snow.

In Japan, both summer and winter bring rainy seasons. Summer sees typhoons and heavy rains on the Pacific side, while winter blankets the Sea of Japan side with heavy snowfall.

Especially at year’s end, Hakuba is simply magnificent. In December, the Sea of Japan is still warm, and the arrival of the Siberian cold air mass often brings heavy snowfall.

Here’s a summary of our five-day end-of-year tour around the Hakuba and Myoko areas. This is one of our favorite end-of-year routes, crafted by us, skiing enthusiasts with over 20 years of experience and passionate about Japan’s powder snow.
