Qilin (Chinese Unicorn) dance is a heritage of Chinese Hakka. You would be surprised that Qilin is a higher level sacred animal than lion. If Qilin and lion dance groups meet, the lion must lower its head to show respect. Though it looks intimidating, Qilin is very kind and intelligent. Seeing a Qilin is a sign of good luck as it brings prosperity and peace to the world.
