Another visit to the Universal Orlando Resort this week and this time we see the addition of trim brakes to the top hat and tons of theme work for the 1st show building. Rock work progress is steady currently as new structures are rising up around the site. New supports for the brake run are in place and a metal structure is enclosing a portion of it.

  1. Do you think they’re enclosing the track at the bottom of the top hat, curious what they are doing in that area 🤔🤔

  2. Crap. Trims could really sap the ride of all of its potential. It’ll still probably be good but not as good as it could have been. I’ve always said this ride is probably gonna be slower than we think

  3. I think the HHN Tribute Store will still open but it’ll only sell the 30th anniversary merch that released a week or so ago

  4. Of course there’s trims on the tophat. It’ll let the launch be more powerful and decrease the chances of a rollback significantly. It’s pretty obvious that they were going to add them there eventually. Also, going over that tophat with no trims at 70+ mph would be WAY too intense for most Universal park goers

  5. Hey midway once this thing is fully finished can you make a timelapes video of everything you gotten many many pictures of the Same area just so we can see that please!

  6. I must have missed you . I was at the part when you were there . Nice update . It looks great in person . Can’t wait to ride it.

  7. For everyone worried about the trim brakes on the top hat I would like to think of it as a stall before the drop. Build anticipation as you crest over the hill and take in the view before diving into madness

  8. I feel like the ride will be so fast that the theming won’t matter much

  9. The trims are also there so they can launch the train faster than the 2nd half of the ride is built for. It helps prevent roll backs.

  10. It looks like the trim brakes are on the downward slope of the top hat, so i'm not sure how much it's going to affect airtime.

  11. I don’t think those trim brakes on the top hat. Usually LIMs used for braking are black. Those are white (commonly used as acceleration points)- maybe accelerate the cars after they start to descend??!?!

  12. Do we know anything about the trains yet. Are they going to have lapbars or OTSR? This thing with just a lapbar would be absolutely amazing.

  13. well, in case you don't know Halloween Horror Nights is cancelled this year. Im not surprised, especially after hearing Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween was cancelled as well.

  14. This may sound stupid but are you sure these are trim brakes, there’s quite a few cables/tubing around them, could they not be LSM kickers on the down side of the top hat to pull you over and push you through the second half of the ride?

  15. I really like that you don’t talk in speculation like some other bloggers and don’t endlessly repeat the same information like a broken record. You let the images speak for themselves.

  16. Why does it seem like Universal is much faster at building attractions than Disney?????

  17. These construction updates just makes me want to ride it more and more. I want to ride it so bad!

  18. So as I sit here in the 🇬🇧 with all of this craziness around us it is great to watch your construction updates as you kinda make us feel we are in safe hands with your knowledge of coaster construction.
Cannot wait for your reaction when you finally get to ride it next year.

  19. I feel like Universal playing the Back to the Future theme when you go into studios is mocking me. Bring the ride back! 😭

  20. that’s weird that they’re lsms and not the regular metal fins, maybe they’ll do something unexpected. idk just a thought
