Hello! I’m Hiroko.
In this video, I’m sharing my great experience in visiting Kawaguchi Lake. It is located near Mt. Fuji, so you can enjoy a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji from the lake. I visited in early November so it was the time that the autumn leaves will turn bright red in about two weeks.

There are five lakes around Mt.Fuji and Kawaguchi Lake is one of them. Kawaguchi Lake has the easiest access from Tokyo. It takes two hours by bus.

I’m also introducing a beautiful art museum and garden near Kawaguchi Lake, “Ichiku Kubota Art Museum”.
Ichiku Kubota was a Kimono artist who revived the lost art of Tsujigahana silk dyeing, used to decorate elaborate Kimono during 14-15 centuries. Unfortunately, the shooting was not available in the museum, so the inside is not on the video. In the museum, you can see many beautifully decorated Kimono which we have ever seen.

The museum’s buildings and gardens are also fascinating.
It is awarded Michelin 3 star green guide, but it is not well known among tourists. Beautiful hidden gem!

I had “Houtou” for lunch. Houtou is a noodle dish that originated around Kawaguchi Lake. It is made by boiling flat udon noodles and vegetables in a miso soup.
