It took a while but eventually found this back in 2018, outstanding pub👍
Robert these are great videos! I hope you keep up showing us all that stuff!
Elee not Eli!
Gorgeous old pub. Still can't believe I haven't been to it yet. Will have to very soon!
Great Prices at Ye Olde Mitre
thanks mate, great video. 🙂
Dodgy pint me thinks 😂😂
Cool!
It's pronounced eely, not eli, other than that, are you so sure it's London's oldest pub ? There are "pubs" dating far further back in time, that also claim that title, but no one knows for definite if they were "pubs' " or Brewery Taverns!! And yes there is a difference , as these were the breweries for the actual brewing of ales, premises that occasionally would sell a pint to a member of the public, but they were not as such public houses, "pubs". More research needed methinks. And Gala pie is pork and veal pie with an egg in it lol.
I have ideal… show more of the pub and not not your face like it's some kinda selfie
If you wear a wide-brimmed hat and set it a little back on your head that should solve your autofocus problem.
Good video. I'm partial to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese myself, but all these pubs are fantastic

Ely is pronounced Eelee as it was built on the site of the townhouse of the Bishops of Ely.
The menue has changed a lot.
Nothing else has.
