Hello from Bandung!
Tonight we head to a traditional Indonesian dinner with Winny from JC motorent and his friends.
We were so lucky to be invited to this, we tried a few new foods, the main ones being jengkol or “stinky beans”, they were definitely interesting, they had the texture of a strong root vegetable with a slight garlic flavor, very hard to describe but worth trying if you get the chance!
The other thing we tried was bubur kacang ijo, it’s a green lentil dish with black sticky rice, it was incredible!

We’re so excited to continue our Indonesia travel, it is far from over!

  6. You had a basic package of a 'Botram' (it's a Sundanese-style feast) 😂
    There's always tofu, sambal, jengkol and kangkung (water spinach)
    The famous food vlogger Mark Wiens had a large package of Botram in Bogor

  7. That's trully Indonesian traditional way, sitting in the floor, eat with your hand. thanks to Winnie for introducing this lovely couple to our tradition 😁
