Head to Takachiho, Miyazaki Prefecture, known as the “hometown of Japanese mythology.”
Drive a rental car through the mountains for about an hour and a half from Kumamoto Airport to Takachiho.
This video records the grounds of Takachiho Shrine, the route to the day trip natural hot spring on the way to Amanoiwato Shrine, and the beautiful blue sky and rice terraces.
