   Japan is known for its clean streets, warrior tradition, stylish public dress code, low birth rate, and cute things.

   These touristy places are having a hard time. IMO It is not really a valuable industry and the cheap souvenir shops are ill-fit in front of the lovely temple. Not many people in shops, but locals still visit.
