ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2023年11月に福岡県篠栗町にある「呑山観音寺」に行きました。
呑山観音寺では例年１０月末から色づきを楽しめます。
モミジ、ドウダンツツジの他ヤマザクラやハゼ、ケヤキ等多種多様の木々が紅葉し、境内は錦秋に包まれます。

呑山観音寺は福岡県糟屋郡篠栗町の鉾立山の麓にある高野山真言宗別格本山。
篠栗八十八か所霊場の第十六番札所となっています。札所の中では最も標高の高いところに位置し、第1日目の遍路道の終着点、難所とされ、八十八か所の関所といわれています。
お遍路さん、参拝者からは「のみやまさん」という愛称で呼ばれています。
ご本尊は「千手千眼観世音菩薩」で、篠栗霊場開創より以前からこの地に祀られてきたと伝わる石仏です。
呑山観音寺の山号になっている鉾立山の由来は諸説ありますが、一説には神代の時代、海津見神の娘である玉依姫が、神武天皇の尊父である彦波剣武鵜茅葺不合尊に嫁いだ際に鎮座する山の高さを見比べるため頂上に鉾をつき立てたためといわれています。
その玉依姫ご一行が目的地の竈門山に向うために山を下る途中、山腹に湧く清水を呑み、渇きをいやしたことから、この場所を「呑山(のみやま)」と名付けたといわれています。
・天王院
篠栗八十八ヶ所霊場第三十六番札所。
もともとは紀州高野山にあった鎌倉時代創建の古刹だったが、明治以降に廃寺となっていたのを昭和48年に、この地に移し再建された。
中国から帰国中のお大師さまを海難から救ったという波切不動明王を本尊とし、海上安全、大漁祈願はもとより人生の荒波を鎮めて運を切り開く開運出世の御仏として信仰を集めている。
また、ここの本堂は、篠栗の中でもっとも大きな本堂としても知られ、新緑や紅葉など四季折々の景色を楽しむ参拝者も多い。
本堂脇にある愛染堂には恋愛成就の仏様、愛染明王が祀られている。
毎月28日、午前10時半より波切不動護摩法要が行われている。
・秋の特別拝観
紅葉まつりの期間中、令和４年５月２２日に落慶した瑜祇大宝塔と両頭愛染明王を特別公開。
受付にて授与された散華にねがいを込めて、堂内に散華（投げ入れて）して、お祈りください。
散華はお守りとして持ち帰られても結構です。

料金 一般400円 中学生以下無料
拝観の方に記念散華をいただけます。
追加で散華をお求めの場合は一花400円にて。
At Nomiyamakannonji Temple, you can enjoy the changing colors from the end of October every year.
A wide variety of trees such as maple, azalea, wild cherry, goby, and zelkova turn red, and the precincts are enveloped in brocade.

Nomiyamakannonji Temple is the special head temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect, located at the foot of Mt. Hokotateyama in Sasaguri-cho, Kasuya-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture.
It is the 16th temple of the 88 Sacred Sites of Sasaguri. It is located at the highest altitude among the temples, and is considered the final and most difficult point on the first day’s pilgrimage, and is said to be one of the 88 checkpoints.
It is nicknamed “Nomiyama-san” by pilgrims and worshipers.
The principal image is the “Thousand-Armed, Thousand-Eyed Kanzeon Bodhisattva,” a stone Buddha that is said to have been enshrined here even before the Sasaguri Sacred Site was founded.
There are various theories about the origin of Hokotateyama, which is the mountain name of Nomiyamakannonji Temple, but one theory is that during the Age of the Gods, Tamayorihime, the daughter of the god Kaitsumi, was married to Hikonami Kenmu, the eldest father of Emperor Jinmu, who was married to Hikonami Kenbu Ukabukifuji, the father of Emperor Jimmu. It is said that this is because a halberd was set up on the top of the mountain to compare the height of the mountain on which she would be enshrined when she married a noble.
It is said that Tamayorihime and her party quenched their thirst by drinking the spring water on the mountainside on their way down the mountain to their destination, Mt. Kamado, which is why this place was named “Miyama.” .
・Tennoin Temple
The 36th temple of the Sasaguri 88 Sacred Sites.
It was originally an old temple built in the Kamakura period on Mt. Kishu Koya, but it had been abandoned since the Meiji era, and was rebuilt here in 1971.
Its principal image is Nakiri Fudo Myo-o, who is said to have saved the great master from a maritime accident while returning from China, and is worshiped as a Buddha that not only prays for safety at sea and a big catch, but also as a Buddha that calms the rough waves of life and opens up good fortune and success in life.
The main hall here is also known as the largest main hall in Sasaguri, and many worshipers enjoy the seasonal scenery such as fresh greenery and autumn leaves.
Aizen-do, located next to the main hall, enshrines Aizen Myoo, the Buddha of fulfillment in love.
On the 28th of every month, the Nakiri Fudo Goma memorial service is held at 10:30 a.m.
・Autumn special visit
During the Autumn Leaves Festival, the Eigi Daihoto Pagoda and the two-headed Aizen Myoo, which were inaugurated on May 22, 2020, will be specially opened to the public.
Please pray by throwing (throw) your wishes into the Sanka that was awarded to you at the reception desk.
Sanka can be taken home as a talisman.

Price: 400 yen for adults, free for junior high school students and younger
Visitors can receive commemorative flowers.
If you would like to purchase additional Sanka, it will cost 400 yen per flower.
