Thanks for the suggestions! I was told that andagi has basically the same ingredients as malasadas except that malasadas has yeast. One day I was taking my mom to the doctor and while we were waiting we were talking to this Portuguese lady and she told me that the Portuguese gave the Okinawans the recipe and that they left out the yeast. I told her that actually the Portuguese sailors stole a batch of andagi batter and were trying to bring it back with them and that the yeast had fallen in and contaminated the batter. She got all mad at me and I just laughed. We both ended up having a good laugh as she called me a trouble maker.
First two bentos are too authentic for me.😂…Now the Teruyas one looks good👍🏽…Higoto Tonkatsu bento is more up my alley😆…Andagi👍🏽
Aloha Misty I hope you're doing well. Ive never had Bento boxes, those all look amazing! I love how neatly packaged they re as they look so fresh and delicious. I'm very intrigued about Andagi, those look yum.
Hay misty I'm in delta lounge at the airport after 12 hour delay can I get you a bite to eat 😁
I love the variety in an already prepared Japanese bentos with tsukemono, tamagoyaki, and veggie accompaniments to the main meat/fish and very satisfying. I love original andagi but my Mom used to make it with cream corn in place of the liquid & sugar, so it turned out not as sweet and dry as OG andagi. All the bentos looks good.
Oooooh what a variety of eats!!😋Everything looked delicious and we were glad to hear overall it tasted delicious with the exception of the okra. We’re not okra fans so that’s not a loss for us. For everything you get and the quality of the food, the prices seem fair. We love cheesecake, andagi, and mochi so it was nice you were able to fit in some sweets to round off the savory eats. First time we tried it was at Tanioka’s and it was good!! 😋Sounded the chicken/rooster wanted to be a part of the video!! 🤣 That pork tonkatsu was massive and a steal!! As always mahalo for the fun foodie adventure!! 🤙🏽🙌🏽👍🏽

Those bentos look delicious! I've been in Rhode Island the past two weeks and have been missing Hawaiian dishes. However, the seafood here is amazing. Thank you for another ono-licious video.
Aloha Misty: Thank you for this great blog of bentos! I enjoyed each segment of the “deliciousness” of each. That pork katsu must have been made with a large slice of pork loin and it looked “yummy,” and filling — protein-packed! I look forward to the next blog from my fellow 🐯! Best wishes and much 🧧, to you and your son! 🤙
Great review, my favorite food- bento boxes. Love the last restaurant—great pork chop.
Wow, HUGE Tonkatsu – must try. Favourite bento spot is St. Louis Drive In and their Japanese plate with fresh sashimi. Tanks, Misty.
Thanks Misty for trying out these bento places! I love the grab and go bentos so you donʻt have to wait for your order to be cooked and put together! I have to check out Obento Rinka and Higoto Japanese Eatery! Funny these are all places in my neighborhood and I didnʻt know about them. Thatʻs why you foodies are awesome!!! Aloha 🤙😁
Thanks for another great review. I really want to try the panko bento box! Desserts must be great for you to like them!

I saw a Bento place on Waialae Times Super Market area. (Japanese) if you want to check it out. Had a small line. Maybe 3 at a time inside?
