Winter time in the Rocky Mountains is a bucket-list item for many. Banff and area had a snowfall warning with no surprise of heavy precipitation, making winter’s entrance in the Rockies quite a grand one.

While watching, take a moment to experience the sounds of traffic, the blowing wind and snow, the water melting on the sidewalks and roads, the birds chirping, this buzzing town rarely has a dull moment.

• Banff Ave, also known as Main Street, is the central hub for shops, souvenirs and restaurants alike!

• Bear Street, one street west of Banff Ave, is also popular and contains similar shops and restaurants to the main hub.
