A remake version of the former 4K Aso Panorama Line scenic drive in Kumamoto, Japan.
Aso Panorama Line runs from the bottom of Mt. Aso caldera to one of the peaks (Mt. Nakadake) of Mt. Aso, located at the center of the caldera.
Mt. Aso is the 2nd largest caldera in Japanese land and a highly active volcano.
The drive starts at Aso Station JCT, located on the bottom of the caldera, and goes up to the Aso Sanjo Terminal near Nakadake No.1 Crater, sending up smoke constantly and back to Aso Station JCT again.

Vehicles can go up to the main crater of Mt. Aso (Nakadake No.1 Crater) when volcanic activity is inactive. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get there due to high volcanic activity that day. For the road to the crater, please refer to the video captured in 2023 when the volcano was inactive.
