白川郷は世界文化遺産です。
以前から行きたい場所の一つでしたが、その位置から限られた交通手段しかないためずっと行けずにいました。
今回は京都からレンタカーをして行ってきました。
思った通りの素敵な村でした。
写真や映像でしか見たことのない合掌造りの集落を見れてとても感動しました。
ある家の中を見学することもできます。
村を流れる小川の水がとても澄んでいて綺麗でした。
そこには鯉が泳いでいて、冷たい水は飲み物を冷やすのにも使われていました。
是非一度訪れてみてはいかがでしょう？
関西方面から車で行くルート：
名神高速道路 ～ 東海北陸自動車道 →荘川IC → 白川郷
所要時間：約4時間

Shirakawa-go is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has been one of the places I’ve wanted to visit for a long time, but due to its remote location, limited transportation options had hindered my plans. This time, I rented a car from Kyoto and finally made the trip. It was indeed a charming village, just as I had imagined. I was deeply moved by the sight of the Gassho-style thatched-roof houses, which I had only seen in photos and videos before. I also had the chance to tour inside one of the houses. The water in the village’s flowing stream was remarkably clear and beautiful, with carp swimming in it. The cold water was even used to chill beverages. If you ever travel to Japan, I highly recommend visiting Shirakawa-go!
