I'm so glad I have come across your channel, Rion-san! Kuromon market is, or now it's 'was', my planned stop to have a hearty seafood lunch while soaking up local atmosphere. Oh well, there are plenty of alternatives to enjoying authentic street food nearby without being over-charged 🙂
In case if you're wondering, the Pepper at 1:27 is talking about existence of a currency exchange counter that is located at the back of the shop. It's probably a pre-recorded promo message to be played in loops XD
Shirako is quite rare in Kuromon. Only see 1- 2 shops selling it. Also they don't sell that much… If you look pass the fact you're eating fish semen, it's not really not that bad.
It's really sad the market has turned into an overpriced tourist trap. Older videos by other youtubers make this market seem amazing for street food but more recent videos like yours has shown how it's devolved. It's great to have a local perspective on different Japanese areas so tourists like me can avoid other tourists! hahaha
I can imagine local Japanese must've felt so uncomfortable in these area that was full of tourists. Not only the robot, even the sellers thought I was a Chinese and keep talking to me in mandarin. I can't speak mandarin 😅
I worked inside this market for half a year. Only go for the sake of going. The food is more than double of local prices. Sure food is good but you can find better prices elsewhere. I was told by a local there because it was dying down, the tourist actually “saved” it.
Here are the Daiwa Kaen shop I was bought fruits rolled cake. Another one half peach 🍑 fruit in jelly also so yummy 😋, I so miss it!🤦♀️ I will be back! 😃

I'm not yet going at the Kuromon Market because I am confused where I to go when I and my cousin travel to Japan in 2016. I and my cousin only going to Osaka, Kyoto, Mt Fuji, Shibuya, Akihabara by JR Train 🚆 and Gotemba outlets. I and my cousin live at my brother house at Shinagawa Tokyo, he bring me to Tokyo Tower, Roppongi Hills, Rinku Outlets and eating sushi 🍣. I love alot.

been to this market on my first trip and my first stop was to buy the ichigo dango / strawberry mochi and it's so good! so much food to eat there!

Much like Ueno, Tokyo – very different 20+ years ago. For better seafood, head to Shimonoseki instead.
so if kuromon is too expensive, where do you recommend to go? osusume 🙂
