I'm heading to Hokkaido next week! Gonna make a trip down to Hakodate. May I know if it is recoomended to drive, or take the ropeway, or bus up to mount Hakodate like what you did? I will have a rental car but I can also leave it at the hotel which is about 15 min walk away.

Great video/tips – what is the ideal amount of time to spend in Hakodate? Planning to go in September, but passing through onto Sapporo – maybe Hakodate is worth spending more than a one day there?
