On the weekend before Halloween, I spent two nights in Japan’s Aokigahara Forest the infamous forest for suicides and paranormal activity. After the first day of hiking, I had a chance to sit down with some Canadian Mist and talk to Bushido Devil Dog who camped in the forest by himself before all the nonsense of a certain Youtube prankster. We also debunk a few of the myths that have sprung up about the place.

Along with scenes of the forest, we talk about the history of the forest, it’s reputation, the sad reality of suicides there, the paranormal myths people spread with little fact, the controversy of Logan Paul, and what people should consider about the forest. Keep in mind we were drinking whiskey after a beer and a bottle of wine so we get a little rambling and repetitive while mispronouncing Aokigahara which I stumble over even when sober. This is like a preview or prologue to upcoming videos on my experience in Aokigahara Forest.

  1. How can you take this guy seriously Dave, he ain't even got a REM-POD or a ATDD (Ambient Temperature Deviation Detection) ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Thoughts…

    1) You did an AMAZING job of editing all the footage you took into a coherent video! I was wondering how you were going make a decent video out of the seemingly random footage you were shooting…Now I know! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป
    2) @12:05 2~3 MILLImeters, not centimeters๐Ÿ˜ณ, in width. ๐Ÿ˜…
    3) Didn't realize how much whisky I was drinking, and how much it slowed down my speech! Maybe that was a good thing as I tend to talk faster than normal when shooting a video…LOL! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  6. I really appreciate your point of view on Aokigahara Forest.
I'm really attracted to the forests and woods since I was a kid and Aokigahara is one of the most place I want to visit in my lifetime, unluckily I can't for an infinite amount of reasons, starting from the distance (I'm an italian guy) and because I can't afford the travel and accomodation.

But I'm sure, for some reason, that I will go there and camping like you did with friends or rando people I could possibly met there.

Yes i'm also attracted by the ghost stories but growing up(I'm 28 yo right now) can't find any reason to believe anymore on that kind paranormal activities.

I like to believe natural forests and woods like owns a collective soul because every plants and trees shares the same space and environment for centuries and more.
I like also to believe they have an inaudible memory that cannot be perceived by us.

So when I'm inside of their domain, I like to put respect top on everything else and I try to feel what the place wants to express.

I never got because I'm so attracted by trees, woods or forests.
It's like I'm natural binded to them.

  7. Good outlook and opinions. I 1,000% agree with this. I always wanted to visit since it's a beautiful area. Definitely a bucket list goal. I'll definitely be going off trail lol. Life is to explore.

  8. 7:02 me on a Friday night sipping on my vodka and coke pretending I'm interested in the same story my friend is telling me for the 3rd fricken Friday in a row ๐Ÿ˜‚

  10. Twice now I've had a dream about this forest and it's always the same: I'm looking for someone very dear to me who went into the forest and never came out. If it keeps happening (believe me, I'm keeping track), I might have to visit Aokigahara myself.

Thank you for uploading this. And tell your friend that there must be something about him that the spirits and the forest itself finds utterly fascinating.
