Part Four of our two week visit to Japan. Nagasaki – It’s a city with quite a unique feel, an incredibly rich history and (possibly most importantly) outstanding food. During our stay we ventured out to Battleship Island, explored the Peace Gardens, ascended Mount Inasa and ate at the incredible Kagetsu Restaurant. Blessed with a few days of good weather (after the deluge that was Hakone), this was possibly our favourite leg of the journey.

The Garden Terrace Hotel and Resort:
The service was absolutely top notch (as was the free bar). A beautiful location (despite the adjacent cemetery), incredible food and, did we mention the free booze?

Kagetsu:
We were pretty spoilt for food during our visit, but Kagetsu with its lavish history and incredible food is definitely worth a visit.
