  1. We cruised Viking in China. We requested dehumidifiers because the room was very humid. The sheets and towels even felt damp. It turned out that the dehumidifiers were in short supply so we were fortunate to have asked early.

  2. If you are using the sofa as a bed do the take it away daily then come back to re do it at night so you can use the sofa as a sofa during the day?

  3. I tip in the beginning and tip well. Then I will give any extra request. Particularly for me – I know I have digestive issues and let's face it on a cruise you will indulge so I ask for an extra roll of toilet paper.

Always had fantastic service and I miss the cruises.

  4. I went on Norwegian in Feb of 2023 and the cabin steward was MIA. They did not clean our room until about 3pm and with an 85 year old in our party that was an issue because after lunch she would need a nap. When we asked about them coming earlier, they said they couldn’t because in stead of the 16 cabins they used to clean they now do 22 and got a pay cut. So needless to that and other Norwegian issues, I will never travel on that cruise line again.

  5. Please, don't move your hands SO MUCH it's really distracting and borderline annoying. Could make the difference between a subscribe or not.

  6. One thing I learned on my 5th cruise, was, as I was walking down the passageway, I was looking for my room steward, to ask them about a service to do, while I was gone on an excursion. I spotted them in another cabin, so I ducked my head in to ask them, and they told me I was not allowed to do that. So if you want to talk to them it has to be in your cabin, or in the passagway ONLY!

  7. These people are great but I think it is insane to presume or oblige passengers to TIP the stewards for "exceptional work" Exceptional work should be a work ethic, not a bonus and further to that the cruise line should be paying the stewards a fair and reasonable rate and not expect the passengers to fork out more than the ticket price. Just pay the stewards more and include it in the ticket price.

  8. On Royal my sister was able to get a shower chair and toilet riser. This was arranged ahead of time.

  9. On a recent Windstar cruise, I went to Guest Relations and asked for a sewing needle. They handed me a kit with pre-threaded sewing needle and a button, wrapped in a L’Occitane box. It was like those kits you would get for free in hotels but are not given out anymore.

  10. If I packed everything u said to pack I wouldn’t have any room for my clothes. Love your videos you are so helpful I’ve been on 71 cruises

  11. Can we talk about gratuities added to your folio per person, who gets it?
Do the stewards and dining servers get paid by the hour or do they depend on tips?

  12. I mentioned it on another of your videos, but I like a clock. The one on my phone is usually not sufficient. My steward loaned us his own.😊

  13. hello, my comment is about the shower chairs!! YES you can get them they are manditory to have as IM an amputee and need to sit to shower without my prosthetic! they have and do give them, they even asked us a week before our bording if i'd like one without even telling them i was an amputee!

  14. I'm disabled, and spoke to Princess about accommodations. They have cabins specifically set up for stuff like shower chairs, lip-less showers, wide wheelchair-friendly doors, turn points (so you don't have to do a 3-point turn just to get to the bed from the door). They also have wheelchair assistance from the street to the gangplank (but not once on the ship).
