  1. Can you PLEASE make a relationship video and give us advice to how you both have an amazing relationship?!

  2. That’s crazy about the “do you have kids?” Here in the US, it’s illegal to refuse renting or selling because of things that are discriminatory such as, age, race, familial status, etc… pets is a different story, but they’re definitely way more lenient on pets here.

  3. This was the first video i saw of yours! This was the video that introduced me to these amazing crazy people!!❤️ love you Simon and Martina! Been watching for three years but can’t imagine life without you! Learned so much about Korea and Japan from you! Thank you for sharing your adventures!!!❤️❤️❤️

  4. 0:41 i got distracted and this got my attention back because i thought they were saying “Art Hooooes” I was so confused 😂

  5. Did you rent this house or purchase this house to own? I'm trying to understand why the owner is so involved to the end..

  6. I know this video is old but I just wanted to say that just sounds like how renting in Australia is. You got kids? You got pets? Thats a no from me chef! Then you just accept the rejection and try somewhere else. It's even harder as a first time renter, you have no references and nothing to show besides your bank account. I had a letter written by my mum to say she'll be checking in and will be responsible for me if anything goes wrong, like a guarantor and that was the only way they'd approve me. You pay 4 month's rent upfront and any increases to the rent will need to be added to that deposit as well, it's a security deposit for damages just like how you described. You break the wall, say bye bye security deposit and also say goodbye to a good reference from your landlord. I'm lucky to be where I am and when I wanted to ask the real estate and the landlord about pets, I waited a year because I am a first time renter with no history, to show I'm a good tenant (1 year without my cat dude, uhg and still don't have her from family situation) and then wrote a letter thanking the landlord for their hospitality. I did what you would have to do anyway, I showed a photo of the pet, all information regarding personality and behaviour and if it was desexed, how old the cat is etc and I mentioned we'd get a cat enclosure so that the cat wouldn't go wandering around the neighbourhood (like everyone else's cats in the street). They actually said yes!
It's very interesting how similar it is to Australia!

  7. Simon looks like my ex-supervisor whom I still work together in the same department. Martina looks like my ex-trainer and she is my ex-supervisor's favorite. How strange.

  8. It's funny because I'm looking for apartments right now (as are all my neighbours because our building is being renovated) and one neighbor told me that a prosepctive landlord had asked to interview her kids and there is a general sense where I live (ie a major city with a crazy housing market) that people are "weary" about renting to people with children. I think it's crazy, disgusting, and discriminatory. Like unless you're a childless yuppie you are untrustworthy

  9. I'm a landlord and this idea of "gift money" is very intriguing to me because this deposit shit really aint cutting it the last people I had rent from me painted the walls fucking Orange…ORANGE who the fuck does that !!?!🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

  10. I don't know about Canada, wasn't ever asked when I lived there, but in the states its illegal to deny renters over children unless its a retirement community.

  11. When my husbnd and I were buying a house (in Australia), we applied for a house in like a village area???? And they wanted REFERENCES for my dog!! In Australia, where everyone has pets! My vet was like whuuuuut???!!

  12. The viewing will the tenants are still there is a thing here in Australia, though it does depend on if the house is new or not. Sometimes people leave the house before the inspection, other times they're there. It can feel weird tho, I've had it happen to me one time and I was just like "this is so awks"

  13. In malaysia you just find houses using internet or shopping app. Call the owner. And start renting. To buy you need a lawyer.

  14. For real in North America they have retirement community condos and apartment buildings where kids might not be allowed that's the only thing I can think of

  15. Everytime i read "house haunting" and everytime im dissapointed after reading the tittle again
