Kamikochi is part of the Northern Japan Alps and within the Hida Mountains. It’s in the Chūbu-Sangaku National Park. For the protection of Cultural Properties, Kamikochi is designated as Natural Monuments and Places of Scenic Beauty. Kamikochi is sometimes referred to as “Japan’s Yosemite Valley.” I AGREE!
