平成13年12月22日に九州南西海域の事件です。
不審船情報を防衛庁から入手。直ちに海上保安庁の巡視船と航空機が向かいました。
度重なる停船命令を無視し攻撃してきました。
この時、海上保安官が3名が負傷し入院までする傷害を負いました。
命がけの攻防でした。
