Where will the next giga coaster end up?
With lots of rumours & speculation online recently regarding new giga coasters coming to parks like Busch Gardens Tampa & Six Flags Magic Mountain, let’s discuss the possibilities of which theme park will get the next giga coaster! A giga roller coaster is any coaster between 300 & 400ft and with so many mega theme parks like Energylandia & Fuji-Q Highland without a giga coaster, there’s so many parks to discuss that could potentially add one of these awesome coasters in future!

Worlds of Fun is my bet, a B&M giga
Bro called Falcon's Flight Falcon's Fury. Also, Phoenix Rising will be a suspended coaster
I am in agreement with most of this video for the time being. By that I mean until around 2026. I don't see a Giga going to a Six Flags park (but am hoping I'm wrong) right now. Selim Bassoul (CEO of Six Flags) recently did an interview where he stated that one of the present goals was to improve all of the Six Flags parks by 2026 which of course means a lot of different things, but it definitely means the money is being spread out for improvement so I don't see it happening in the immediate future. In the same interview he also said he is committed to making Six Flags return to being the place for thrills. He said he wants to bring more unique rides and rides that would make the parks stand out from other, competing parks. I can see Magic Mountain getting a Giga within the next five years. The park is already (allegedly) set to spend a lot of money getting the iconic Sky Tower up and running again which will be millions of dollars to get the elevators up to code. After that, I can see money going towards a Giga coaster. On a slightly tangential note, Goliath keeps being mentioned on the SFMM social media and I could see the park doing a conversion or upgrade from Hyper to Giga to save money. Goliath is one of the coasters next to the parking lot which is an ideal location as well since the Magic Mountain lot already has one of the most spectacular coaster landscape views.
As to other parks, BGW and BGT are definite contenders. I'd love to see a worthy coaster in the Drachen Fire plot. A Giga would certainly be that. As much as I'm rooting for my home park (SFMM) to get one, I'd be so happy for BGW to get a Giga.
Alton towers 100% (nothing stopping them🌳)
Potentially an independent park or even maybe London Resort (If it ever gets bloody built 😑)
I Think Busch Gardens Tampa Could Get One They Can Make It Fly Over Pathways In The Kumba Area.
I highly doubt magic mountain is getting a giga. The skytower is 390 feet, i think what they mean by giga is repairing that.
My back garden theme park
It’s breaking the record by 23ft. 235ft is from sea level, 213ft is it’s actual ground level height
Wildcard: Paultons Park?
Also, Efteling anounced a attraction of 60 meter high but that is not a Giga right? Could be a coaster. Could be a droptower who knows.
Only coaster enthusiasts and people who don't use the metric system will care about a giga coaster (I fit in one of those categories but not the other, probably easy to guess which is which), unless it's necessary to take a country record. Hyperion at Energylandia is the same as a giga for most of the world (they may want the Europe record but I think they'd more likely go for a strata with a complete layout, think Vekoma's take on Toutatis with the top hat strata heights, which would not be a Europe record but a world record). So if it isn't at Fuji Q Highland or Marineland (to claim country records, and yes I put Marineland as a wildcard. They've got the space for it and a location it would be super popular) it'll go to the US. Worlds of Fun is the #1 contender I'd say. That said if a company with the mindset of early Gravity Group came on the scene (ie build 3 monster coasters to start off with only the notable records being most airtime on a coaster and world's longest tunnel that they didn't necessarily need to go that big to get) started building coasters I could be proven wrong.
I would love to see a giga in hersheypark but not only do they not have the land for one they also cant build over the kissing tower (350 feet) because I believe of harrisburg Airport which is like 20 minutes away.
NO Six Flags is getting a giga. SF finances are lagging their peers for years, As Cedar Fair and SEAS were producing record years in revenue and profits, Six Flags revenue and profits regressed to 2017/2018 levels. Please don't come back with Selim's claims of Capex in the future, he is a proven to not do what he claims. He made grand claims of Capex on park improvements which he never did. The guy literally doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Expected when you hire somebody that has no theme park experience to be CEO and he hired a bunch of other people that were his buddies from the last company he ran at other positions like CFO, etc..
SF will not purchase a giga anytime sooner, even if SFMM is jokingly teasing for one with uppercase letters
