Kingda Ka is the tallest roller coaster in the world standing at an incredible height of 456ft. This roller coaster has held on to its record for 15 years, the longest that any roller coaster has claimed prior to 1964. In this video, I discuss the probability of when a roller coaster finally breaks the 500ft mark, and what park will be crazy enough to attempt such feat.

  1. “Well, here we are in 2020, and the roller coaster industry seems to be doing well.

    Famous last words.

  2. Carrowinds needs to build a 500 ft strata coaster to replace nighthawk and vortex NOT shaped like Kingda Ka. And name it Thunder Road they Cedar Fair owes us 🔥

  3. “The theme park industry seems to be doing well”

Literally famous last words because the video was released on feb 20, 2020. About 25 days later and the world went to crap

  4. A 500ft wooden roller coaster would be awesome..especially if it was a larger version of el toro

  5. I don’t think we will see it until gigas start to be as common as hypers.
By then, we’ll see some traditional coaster stratas, which could introduce affordable 500 ft special coasters.
Special, as in akin to the current strata launch coasters. Like, once Dragster nears the end of its (cost effective) service life, I could see CP tear it down and replace it with a 500 ft equivalent replacement (perhaps rocket themed).

  6. Any giga coaster or taller built by arrow would kill you. Their track profiling and transitions at those speeds would be deadly. Literally

  7. Cedar point might make one because they are getting rid of the wicked twister and if they did that would be cool

  8. "shattered" lol you use the word too often, and it looses its meaning. You used the word decimated incorrectly as well. Deci means 10, so decimate means to destroy by a factor of 1/10.

  9. No way magic mountain gets rid of Goliath
It's reliable, high capacity, smooth and a favorite of the GP

Magic mountain is also not running out of space, they have so much of it, especially since most of the rides are just built around the edges of the park

  10. West Virginia would be a perfect state to add a 500ft tall coaster, because The Application mountains goes through all over West Virginia, that makes the state known for its mountainous terrains. If I had my own theme Park in West Virginia, where I wanted to build, but near Charleston, I would add a 500 ft tall Terrain Roller Coaster.

  11. Wow, when he said now it’s 2020 and the theme parks are doing great. And I was extremely surprised because of Covid-19 but the I check the date…February 20, 2020 just 22 days until a year of quarantine
