A wabi sabi and free theme park come nature reserve in Ube City 40 minutes by train and a ten minute walk from Shin-Yamaguchi bullet train (shinkansen) station. The rides are a bit rusty but inexpensive and for me quite thrilling. The scenery is beautiful. The Japanese monkeys enjoy being fed. Please go.
Ube is the home of the future prime minister of Japan, Kan Naoto, or Naoto Kan 菅直人

Such a nice place. The atmosphere looks peaceful.
Also. I love your voice.
Yes, it is peaceful. I think that it could be really romantic with the right person. I think of Simon and Garfunkel songs and Coney Island, even though I am from a very different part of the world.
As for the voice, there was I think think that I am a complete woofter.
Thank you!
What a beautiful blue sky you have in Japan at this time of year.
Have you thought of a career as a tv presenter Tim?
Your voice is fine. Last night I saw a film called The Swordsman with an evil eunuch mandarin and believe me you sound like an American president compared to him. Tashi
PS I think the driver could have been a little kinder considering the free publicity you were providing for a bubble relic.
The Swordsman is viewable in its entireity on Youtube. You are right. Things could be worse.
I was a bit miffed, but then so was the driver because I used his tannoy (not 'walkie talkie'), and he was very kind at the same time.
I used to work in TV, at the bottom: a camerman's assistant. I liked it so much that I tried to become a cameraman and had dreamed of starting my own mini production company – weddings even – and end up producing little bits for TV stations.
These days, there are openings for Japanese speaking gaijin to commentate on news programs. Maybe one day.
In the meantime I recommend it to my students, and do my presenting in class and here.
I am a TV presenter!

Lacking in vegetation, I agree.
I'd be terrified to get on that roller coaster XD
i was here in Tokiwa Koen in 1991… its seems there are lots of changes already. There are no theme park or rides then… only a lagoon filled with beautiful swans, i miss Ube City
tim you seem really creepy
Awww. But then, coming from you that may be a compliment 🙂
