Finally, my merch store – https://96a9d4-2.myshopify.com/

🌎 : GANGBUK DISTRICT, SEOUL (8.3/10)
I swiftly ascended to the top of bukhansan in world record time and wanted to celebrate with a bottle of Makgeolli. But my hopes were quickly diminished as i was shushed and threatened with a fine by this random lady. So, i headed down the mountain as quick as possible, only to be begged for help by a Japanese lad whom i escorted back to the peak. Dizzy, sunburnt and feeling nauseous, i headed to a food alley with an Israeli lad and a dutch burnt to hunt down some ice noodles. We got very lost and found some cool this in Gangbuk-gu. #Seoul #SouthKorea

🦧 WHO AM I?
Dan. Sooner or later i’m gonna be a corpse in the ground, worms eating my body and my atoms will disassemble and move off to finds new uses elsewhere in the universe, probably to create a turd. Why take things so serious, why work a job you hate, why listen to people telling you to do things you don’t want to do, life’s too short for any of that foo foo. I create exploration videos in the hopes of inspiring others to travel and see planet earth. Waterfalls, Aurora Borealis, Curry, Pyramids, Lions, Live Music & Laughter. How Bout That?

  1. That young man was so friendly. I love watching your videos they are a true break from all the fast pace of life.
    💜

  2. 2:31 she wasn't being rude at all. It's illegal to drink alcohol or cook in the mountains, thus she was trying to keep it so that others can't hear you. At 2:24, the older man to the left, says "200만원/$1,500 USD" right after you said you drank makgeoulli, which implies that the fine for drinking in the mountains is 200만원/1,500 USD. I looked it up, and the fine for drinking in the mountains is 10만원/$75 USD. Smoking in the mountains is what has the 200만원 fine if you commit multiple offenses. So yeah, she wasn't being rude, she was trying to protect you.

  3. That was gallant of you to bring the hiker to the top. The Israeli soldier got called up and is probably in that hellofamess going on now.

  4. Wow this video was great Dan you are a very nice man you help that poor young man go to the top God bless #whereisdan @whereisdan 👌🏼👍🏼✌🏼 🇬🇧🇰🇷🇯🇵🇺🇸🇵🇷

  5. Hi, Dan! I really enjoyed you showing the travelers around. You put some big smiles on their faces! Something as simple as, "Wow the chicken looks tasty!" [26:49] got a big reaction from the locals and the traveler from Israel. I replayed that section a few times 🙂Also your boy bowed deeper for the free rice snack samples than I did at my wedding! 😂 I can't speak for others' tastes, but I really enjoyed the dynamic of shy tourists unable to speak the language, led by extrovert Dan going off the beaten path to experience the "real Korea." Maybe an idea for future content?

  6. she just wants the makgeolli for herself smh, def got some in that backpack. i know how these ahjummas roll

  7. This tour was better than walking down hongdae lol nice video. Your videos are even better with more people

  8. 28:55 He is involved in a campaign to raise awareness about the release of radioactive water from Fukushima, Japan. The card means "In Japan, there is a keen awareness, but the citizens are neglected."

  10. By chance I was in 수유시장 last week when visiting relatives. I was taking the bus with my brother from Dobong-gu towards Dongdaemun instead of the subway because we wanted to see more of the area (it's been 10 years since we've been back) and we saw the market and hopped off to check it out. As the Dutch girl suggested, it's very dynanmic in its layout. I found it much more interesting than Mangwon market or Gwangjang market, which are much simpler in its layout and at times filled with other tourists because that's what all the guide books tell people to go to. I think the Israeli and Dutch tourists were fortunate to run across you – they got a deeper understanding of the country and interaction with the locals otherwise impossible due to the language barrier. After the hike they likely would've gone towards another "must see" site to check out everyone on Youtube talks about. I don't blame them – if I went to Vietnam and didn't know any locals or people who knew the area, I'd do similar things. Instead though they got to experience/taste 꼐란빵, 막걸리, 떡, 식혜, 엿강정,먹자골목and the classic 편의즘 fixture. That's the irony of it all though – the more people find out about these hidden places, the more tourists will come. Perhaps there's a happy medium.

  11. now then! enjoying your videos and looking forward to more in the future. it's the interactions with local folk that makes it. try and enjoy your stay back in england, just try to remember; it's not that bad here. .. .. 🙂 .. ..

  12. Another brilliant vid! The "In a bit lad" 😂😂 too funny Dan! Thank you! ♥️🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

  13. I only found your videos a few days ago, but i think u definetly deserve being my favorite traveling youtuber already! You are making me really want to travel to korea now, and its so nice to see you show lesser known and more local areas in the country, because not a lot of content creators do that. Also i love your energy and politeness for the people, you even manage to make friends with the elders! Cant wait to see more videos in the future after i binge all of your videos

  14. You are so kind to help others. The best, and only, rooftop views I have been so fortunate to see.
