The Channels are a 20-acre labyrinth of 400 million year old sandstone that formed into slot canyons as ice wedges melted in the last ice age. It’s 10-15 degrees cooler in the channels & the canyons are 30-40ft deep. This is a busy hiking location & there are only 10 parking spots so you will need to be early to guarantee a spot.
