In this video, we will be sharing the evening scenes of “Pontocho” and the “Kamo River” in Kyoto, Japan. Pontocho is one of Kyoto’s five traditional entertainment districts, much like Gion, and it comes alive with a vibrant atmosphere at night. Additionally, we will take a stroll along the beautiful Kamo River, known for its “Noryo Yuka” summer terraces. Please enjoy the video.

京都でいちばん気になるのは「一見さんお断り」という言葉です。先斗町の店などはそういう店が多いのではありませんか。通行人の殆んどが用があって来ているのではなく、興味があって通っているだけな気がします。
鴨川納涼床も上流階級の遊び場という気がするのですが……

納涼床まだやってるんですね、９月までと思ってました、先斗町は外国人密度が圧倒的、この先まだまだ増えてきますね、お疲れ様😅
Thanh you for the walk! In the dark night of Kyoto the lights from Pontocho seem very attractive but for me, if I have a chance to see a performance by Bando Tamasaburo it would be more enjoyable than dining in an exclusive restaurant in there – even though I don't understand the language but I like the music from shamisen combined with his performance. Unfortunately, the time of my visit to Japan was never compatible with his schedule.
