We Tried MARTABAK (telur & manis) in Philadelphia USA 🇺🇸 the BEST Indonesian food!

In this USA travel vlog, we made it to Philadelphia and took some advice from our Indonesian subscribers! We hadn’t had Indonesian food since we left Indonesia a couple months ago….but multiple people told us there is a martabak store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – which just happened to be on our list of places to go! We took the train to Philly, checked into our airbnb, then went directly to martabak OK! It’s located in south Philly and we were able to take a bus from center city to just a couple blocks away. We met the nicest Indonesian guy working there!! He was surprised that we knew what martabak was and we spent some time chatting about our time in Indonesia and how he’s from Jakarta. We ended up ordering one martabak manis (our favorite chocolate, cheese, and peanuts) and one martabak telur (the original beef flavor). Unfortunately we couldn’t eat in the store so we had to take our martabak to go. We ended up walking from Martabak OK to South Street Philadelphia which is a popular street to visit. It was Carles’s first time in Philly so we had to check out all the areas! We got lucky as there was a little street festival going on on South Street so we got to see lots of different street cars/stalls/people dancing in the street! We would’ve stayed longer, but we were excited to get back to our airbnb and eat our martabak!
Once we got back we opened both the martabak manis and martabak telur….they smelled amazing! We devoured the martabak telor – it was SO good!!! We actually only tried martabak telor once in Indonesia (in Ancol Beach, Jakarta) and the one we had in Philly was much better 😱 we understand now why people kept telling us they love martabak telor! Next we had our chocolate, cheese, and peanut martabak manis……it was also AMAZING! Exactly like we remembered all the times we had it in Indonesia! After eating both we were SO full! Luckily our airbnb had a mini fridge so we could save the rest of our martabak manis for breakfast the next day! If you’re in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, you NEED to try martabak OK in south Philly!
