DAY 93 – STAYING IN A CAPSULE HOTEL (TOKYO)



DAY 93 – STAYING IN A CAPSULE HOTEL (TOKYO) // 11.01.2017

So the day started in the search of cheaper accommodation. Our search led us to a female only capsule hotel in the area of Ueno.

This area is not considered a main area but still has loads of charm. Ueno park, Tokyo National Musuem, the neighbouring district of Yanaka and Akihabara are all close by. Plus there is still the feeling of being in the city, with many shops and restaurants close by. We actually walked everywhere this day. Legs were aching but money was saved.

The hotel that we stayed in was just perfect. If you are on a budget then you will have free amenities with your stay and the option to cook your own food and wash your clothes. Did we also mention that this place was ridiculously cheap. For those who may think that this choice is claustrophobic then think again. This was super comfortable and quiet.

We spent the afternoon walking around Ueno Park, which led us to Tokyo National Museum. You can also visit the local Zoo here.

The gaming district of Akihabara is a must see, we thought that there was more intensity here than in Shibuya. Man those guys can play video games. One was sweating and panting. The commitment is real. If you wanted to you could lose hours of time here and probably some Yen to go with it. We also found some really nice places to eat and was able to walk back to Ueno after.

Overall a really chilled day, cheap and exciting. Again we are eagerly waiting for more. Please come back soon, where we will try and show you more of Tokyo

    This concept would be more popular if they had a secure door or window instead of just a flimsy curtain .

    I think there should be lockable doors for the capsules, I watched other capsule hotel videos and the capsules had lockable doors.

    I really liked this vlog guys!! Very interesting to see how snug the capsule hotel is! That whole area where the gaming and billboard is wild! I've never been to Japan/Tokyo so this was very amusing for me! I know you guys mentioned you came out here to Palm Springs, for Dinah Shore.. do you guys have a vlog for that?     Hello I go in this hotel quite soon (male dorm) but do they speak English in this hostel? My japanese is very limited and they don't even awnser to my mail (OK it's just been 24)
