Welcome back to our resort tour series at the Bahia Principe Resort in Mayan Riviera. In this video, we take you on a tour of the Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal. Being a Luxury, if you stay here, you can visit all the other resorts in the complex. There are some amazing restaurants to try here, certainly, if you like seafood – give Fruto del Mar a try. Meat lovers will find yummy food at Los Corales. It seems like there is a lot going on at this hotel – lot’s of action, activities, or if your prefer relaxing, the beach is very quiet, and there is a jacuzzi pool and quiet pool to enjoy.

This week's video is an updated tour of Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal. We toured this resort a few years ago, so it was nice to be back. Lot's to offer here, let us know if you have any questions. We didn't get to visit as many a la carte restaurants as we would have liked, so let us know in the comments if you visited and how it was!
Which one is better, here or Riu Playacar?
The Bahia Akumal is around £300 cheaper than the Riu
We leave on Apr 10. Great video. Can anyone recommend a particular building room #s where you would have a great view of pools or beach. I'm thinking that some would be better than others, Thanks

Hiya, love this video! We go in September. I was just wondering, I was told there is a 24hr food bar for like pizza etc is that still there? And by staying at luxury Akumal which of the other hotels are we able to visit? Thank you 😊
2 questions:
1. If we are not staying in the adults only section, do we still have access to the adults only pool and beach section? We are adults of course 😊
2. Can we eat at the other buffets (Sian Kaan, Tulum and Coba) or just Akumal?
Just back from a week at Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal — satisfied overall — however, it was disappointing to find some of Akumal's lobby-area amenities unavailable (CLOSED for renovations) : Bahia Spa; Buffet Riviera; Arlequin restaurant, Pool restaurant — luckily there were other (spas and) buffets (accessible with our wristlets) within a reasonable walking distance — otherwise we just hopped on a 'shuttle' to the other hotels.

Los Corales was our favourite when we went in 2021, the steaks were amazing
I really like how you described everything… well done! I got a question… out of the Bahia Principe resorts, which one do you recommend for 2 adults, quiet, relaxing… I see the adults only section on Akumal has loud music (not what we are looking for), Thank you again for a great video!
Cant decide between here or tulam. 2 adults and a 4 year old who loves swimming and dancing… which do you think would be best??
I think it’s ridiculous that you have to pay for shows, it’s meant to be all inclusive and If you want to see any good shows you have to pay. Never experienced this at any other resort. Stupid
Are the cocktails included? i read online that premium drinks are an extra cost on their website. we’re going in september and trying to figure out as much info as possible

When it comes to All Inclusive. Are you able to eat at any of the 7 restaurants for free?
