We travel to Koh Phi Phi island, and then go on a longtail boat to the beautiful and famous beach of Maya Bay which was in the film ‘The Beach’, this stunning beach has only just reopened in 2022 and is so empty compared to normal times! This has to be the most beautiful beach in Thailand in my opinion.

    It's not even close to the most beautiful beach in Thailand. And you can't swim – it's just a paddling pool for tourists. We were on a boat nearby and had paid the 400 baht already for diving, so we stopped in for a look. It's nice, but all pretty tacky now, and there are still other people around. You can find nicer beaches elsewhere and have them to yourself 🙄

    Hey guys, love the video, i beleive the new way to access and visit Maya Bay will be beneficial also, i went in there in 2017 and Maya bay was just hell, packed with speedboats fighting to park and tourists everywhere !!! was far away from paradise beach expectation !!! hopefully the entrance of the beach will stay the way it is right now and will only allow a certain amount of tourist to access it at the time !!! looking forward to get back there next year 😊 thanks for the lovely images !!!

    I want to spend a full day at maya beach but I want to go to phi phi via ferry. Does that mean I have to stay 24 hours at koh phi phi?

    Hi Joel, i have a question, i am planning to do backpacking through southeast Asia for 6 months, my starting point is Bali and probably staying there for a month. i am getting there on May 4th 2022. after Bali i am thinking to stay in Singapore for few days to a week. And i have no idea where to go from Singapore. i want to end my destination in Thailand. so Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos these are the places i also want to stop. Any ideas on how to do this in correct order? and any specific tips? Thank you <3

    I went there with a friend from Singapore last week. As a Thai, somehow I don’t think it’s worth for paying 400 Baht for the entrance fee. You can’t even swim there. Just a short beach where people line up to take photos.

    Thanks for your video ! Small question, how far is phi phi from phuket ? Do you think an excursion for one day on the island is enough? Unfortunately we won’t have the time to sleep on the island I think 🥲

    Hi Joel , Normally we have to pay the island entrance fee. 20 Bath fee maybe island entrance fee.

    It's really great time to visit Maya Bay during the period. Not crowded with people. I was there several years ago before the Covid19 pandemic and found a ton of visitors were there. Now, there is a lot of time and space enjoying beautiful places and experiencing gorgeous foods. Hopefully, you both had a really memorable trip in Thailand. Love your video.
