  6. Went there last Monday , chips were dry but the cod was good . I had large cod and chips (large was not very large)20 pounds to much to sit in

    One look at the menu impressed me.
    Yeah,you can get bad fish and chips,for sure,but this place is clearly tight!
    Also,one of my London obsessions is curry takeaway places,we donโ€™t have those in my sad neck of the woods.
    I will search your channel for the best one in London.
    In 1995,I ate,almost daily at one at Earlโ€™s Court,Palak paneer,and lamb curry with the basmati and naan.
    Iโ€™ve literally had dreams about it.

  11. Fish and chips in the UK dates back to English Catholicism. Eating meat was against Church doctrine on Fridayโ€™s. Hence, eating fish.

    Henry VIII may have strayed from the Catholic Church, but a lot Catholic customs still remain.
