Travelled to Hokkaido, the northernmost prefecture in Japan. I visited a prison museum, beautiful flower fields, volcanic areas, onsens, and enjoyed train rides with amazing views during the 9 days trip.
I had great train trips from Abashiri to Kushiro and Nemuro to Kushiro with breath-taking views of the nature and animals. I also enjoyed canola flower fields, moss phlox flower fields , and an onsen resort town, Noboribetsu. Hokkaido is huge and has lots of nature and animals. It is definitely worth coming back for more adventure.
