  2. 29 September to 6 October is China's golden week public holidays. Not the best time for foreigners to travel.

  3. Everyone who is not biased will admit china is more developed than the whole west now…

  5. August is the summer vacation for Chinese students, and many parents take their children to Beijing to play, so Beijing is very crowded. Especially this year is the first summer vacation to be relaxed after the epidemic, so there are many abortions.

  6. Good video! So cute! There is still lots of food to be explored~ A little tip to travel cheap in China: try to hit some grocery stores or supermarkets. Family Mart will do too! Bring some food along the way so you don't have to be overpaid. Everything on speed rail or even in the train station is just ridiculously expensive.

  7. Hi Micheal, Nah I don't care about Pokemon cards but I DO want to watch your unboxing just to see your reaction! (did they turn out to be what you wanted/expected?–I hope they are) LOL
You two are just so fun and it's so great to travel virtually with you guys! and OMG that little (almost) mishap at the train station was so dangerous. It freaked me out too just by looking at it as it unfolds. Glad that no one was hurt though. Cant wait to see your next video! ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. You shouldn't compare China with Japan, you should compare it with your country! So how many miles of high speed rail lines do you have?

  10. omg 15:53 that's literally where my home is!! I'm in the UK studying right now and I am so excited to see my neighbourhood in your video!! Thank you!! (like I'm shocked because that place is not a typical place to visit when people come to Beijing for the first time lol)

  11. Would you like tobe a real Traveling Artist like VanGogh
That's Why you need the Color and Canvas with a little sketch book
because Life should be Sweet and Colorful just like Vincent did that .

  12. Go mad and Release Yourself just like Vincent did that ,
and this is the Greatest LifeStyle in the Earth

  13. You are correct in saying that the high-speed railway (Gaotie๏ผ‰in China is over 10 times in length that in Japan. However, it must be pointed out that the technology of Chinaโ€™s Gaotie comes from Japan. In 2008, the then China Railway Department head Mr. Liu paid 450 billion Japanese dollars (about 6 billion US dollars) to buy the equipments and all technologies from Kawasaki Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., the Shinkansen High-Speed Railwayโ€™s pioneer company in Japan. Equipments and engineers from Japan landed in Qindao, China, and Chinese engineers and workers of Sifang Co. were trained by Japanese, and they joined force in building the Beijing-Shanghai and Beijing-Guangzhou Gaotie. By now, China has accumulated a debt as huge as about 900 billion US dollars for its Gaotie, as it still must import a lot of equipments/software it cannot make by itself for Gaotie from Japan, Germany, France and Canada. All the four countries are happy as they get a lot of money from China each year, and this strategy is known as โ€œChina opens market to them, and they provide technology to Chinaโ€.

  14. haha you are so brave to travel during Golden week as your first time in China ๐Ÿ˜‚ not to mention it was a double holiday. usually we just stay put during Golden week and Spring festival, but we actually took a trip this time, but we avoided the popular tourist spots and chose somewhere more in the middle of nowhere to avoid the crowds

  15. I remember distinctly when the first high-speed rail was launched in China, a BBC reporter reported and signed off emphasizing that average Chinese workers couldn't afford the economically viable fare. Another prime example of Dunning-Kruger effect, people of lower intelligence simply can't understand how higher intelligence people think.

  16. You can go to 2nd and 3rd tier cities in China, expense there can be much cheaper, I really don't recommend Beijing and Shanghai, they're expensive and they got nothing interesting to visit, you better go to natural scenery spots in China than visiting cities, it's fine to live in these cities but they're not for travelers, they all looks the same even those chain stores are the same everywhere. If you insist visiting Chinese cities I recommend you Chongqing and Xi'an, these two are more unique.
You can visit museums and rent bikes, these are the only bright spot in Chinese cities.

  17. Me as a Chinese living in China. The most dangerous thing in a populous country is that, sometimes you will have the risk of getting killed by the heavily populated system. When holiday comes, many police staff would stand on the main road to control the people flow. In your video, people stuck at the bottom of the elevator, because too many people gathered and were going to take the elevator on the opposite side, and they hided the road. That might not be their fault, but if something really happened, I would hate them and curse them to death. Like the accident took place in S.Korea last year, I curse everyone who neglects others.

Hating the crowd is quite a topic in China, we love our country, love the individual, but we hate the crowd. I guess most Chinese has the period in their life, when they were super disgusted at the stupid crowd, because I remember a western book called "THE CROWD: A STUDY OF THE POPULAR MIND" is read or heard by nearly every young person, including me. We believe individuals are good, but when they gathered, they are stupid and bad. (Such topic is very popular in a populous country like China, that's why I strongly support the so-called "evil" "one-child" policy and I criticized populous motherland every day when I was in high school, without a mature soul lol)

  18. Joisie , India defeated Australia in Cricket World Cup match today, you won't find cricket in China you need to be in India or Australia

  19. Normally I bought snacks or takeout before I get on a train . Itโ€™s really expensive to buy food on high speed train.โค

  20. In my opinion, Shanghai and Beijing are not suitable for people to walk. Because these two are too big. Try to pick up some small cities, you will get more suprised.
