Buses travel regularly between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, a journey that takes roughly 4 1/2 hours. About half way along the coach stops a road side cafe for light refreshments.

It is always nice to chat with fellow passengers. On this particular journey I spoke to a traveller who was a police man from New Zealand.

  1. Lan ti kroung is definately better than riding in a cramp car from siem reap to phnom penh.

  2. @chong890 Yes, except for the odd bumpy bridge the ride is very smooth.
On all the coaches I've traveled on in Cambodia the guides have spoken English.

  3. It was my first trip after 31 years I left Cambodia. I just came back to the state a week ago. It was magnificent to see Angkor Wat for the first time in my life. As a matter of fact, Siem Reap has the most foreigners more than any other provinces in Cambodia. I came back home with lots of good memories with me. A choice of transportation that I used to go visiting Angkor Wat and around town was Tuk Tuk. There was a night market that opened late and lots of foods and lights in the city. Love SR

  4. Very helpful. My hubby and I intend to travel frm Siem Reap to Phnom Penh by bus. TQVM. Jane

  5. 4,5 hours? Lucky guy 🙂 … Took me about 6 to 7 … You never know when then bus breaks down in cambodia ^^ I've been at exactly the same restaurant, where the bust stops. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

  6. It looks like they had dumped gravel on the side of the road for future pavement.  That's why the traffic could not pass each other.  You'd think they would have scooted it over so the traffic could pass more freely or at least have a flag person at each end of the bottleneck with the traffic going one-way in each direction but no, this is Asia.

  7. This is an old video. The roads between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap is much, much, much better. All new paved highways. The buses are also newer.
