The Airbus A380 is a large wide-body airliner that was developed and produced by Airbus. It is the world’s largest passenger airliner and only full-length double-deck jet airliner. Airbus studies started in 1988, and the project was announced in 1990 to challenge the dominance of the Boeing 747 in the long-haul market. The then-designated A3XX project was presented in 1994; Airbus launched the โ‚ฌ9.5 billion ($10.7 billion) A380 programme on 19 December 2000. The first prototype was unveiled in Toulouse on 18 January 2005, with its first flight on 27 April 2005. It then obtained its type certificate from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on 12 December 2006.

    Had the honor of the Appartement on a trip SYD-AUH-CDG before the pandemic, best experience ever, I slept 7 hours! especially on a really long leg from about 12-13hours. I donโ€™t understand why nowadays the A380 from etihad is only operated from LHR-AUH. Way too shortโ€ฆ

    Some people actually prefer hard sleeping surfaces, so the bed would probably appeal to many.
    That suite is impressive, and almost a crime to only deploy it on a 6 hour flight.

    hay Dan, pro tip: to remove the flicker of the lights in your videos, like when recording the lounge, you can (should) switch the recording from 50 to 60 fps or vice-versa, basically switching the video framerate from PAL (Europe and most of the world) to NTSC (America and Japan, mostly).

    I always feel like the lounge/mini bar is wasted on Business/First class. Why not make it available to premium economy and economy as they would most definitely be looking to get up and stretch their legs. Why would you get up from your comfy, private space to go "hang out" in a lounge?
